Everyone at this guesthouse was very kind. The private room I stayed in was also very comfortable. There can be some noise from the streets on Friday or Saturday nights, but it doesn't last long. I'd recommend bringing earplugs just in case. The work mainly involved helping with breakfast, doing laundry, and grocery shopping. None of it was difficult, and everyone was very patient whenever I had questions. I'm really grateful to Gabriela, Antonieta, and the rest of the team.

Sem dúvida uma das melhores experiências que tive nessa plataforma, foi realmente algo incrível, eu espero sinceramente ter a oportunidade de voltar e ficar mais tempo na próxima vez. Todos da the guest house são pessoas incríveis e inspiradoras, muito acolhedoras e dispostas ajudar. As tarefas são bem fáceis, mais requem atenção, nada demais, eu sem dúvida nunca mais vou olhar para uma máquina de café da mesma forma. Mas foi uma experiência gratificante, enriquecedora, acolhedora e amigável. Muito obrigada por tudo time da Boa Vista the guest house, espero vê-las novamente em breve!! S2

I had a great time at the the guest house. The hours were fair and agreed upon beforehand. Sometimes even less hours than expected. I really appreciated being told I was done early instead of the host finding busy work just to fill the space. The women who work here were all welcoming, friendly, and so interesting to talk to. They were also really good at giving recommendations of things to do around, always happy to help and answer questions, and super encouraging of me slowly learning Portuguese. I had to leave early due to a burst pipe, which was unfortunate but not in anyone's control.

Foi minha segunda vez aqui na Guest e novamente consegui sentir-me como na minha casa. Estivemos com minha namorada a trabalhar no pequeno almoço e na lavanderia, e sempre respeitaram tudo o falado e o mais importante é a qualidade humana que a Guest tem. Desejo o melhor para vocês e agradeço muito pela ajuda que nos deram. Até breve porque sempre é para voltar à Guest. Beijos e um grande abraço!

I had an amazing time at Boa Vista the guest house! The other workers were the most lovely women I met and they made me feel like at home! The work is easy and you have a lot of time to explore Porto. Can totally recommend staying there!

The guest house is a lovely the guest house, run by an amazing team of inspiring women, each of which adds their personal touch to ensuring all runs smooth and pleasantly for their guests, staff & volunteers. Flavia, Amanda, Carla, Paula, Antonieta & Gabriela, were welcoming & made learning, easy and fun! the the guest house is pretty, well light with eco-friendly terrace/balcony in which to read, virtually re.connect with friends and family or just enjoy Porto's sky. The room assigned for volunteers has 3 pretty windows with original shutters, than allow to combine privacy or let lovely sunlight in.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Porto, Boa Vista Guesthouse is the perfect choice. The activities are easy and you will have plenty of time to explore the city center, beaches, and nearby towns. The accommodation is very good, although there is noise from the street, so if you have a lighter sleep, think twice. In my case, I followed the house schedule and was able to rest well because there is no noise at night. 😎 Many thanks for Gabriela and team you were very kind and gave me good tips on what to do in the city.

This was my first experience as a volonuteer and I will never forget it! Gabriela and all the team have been really nice during all my stay. Although my level of portuguese was very low, all the team has been very patient to help me practice the language! I really enjoyed helping at the breakfast it was a nice way to know better the team and have some talks with the clients. And of course, Porto is a very nice place to stay, so many things to enjoy and discover!! Merci the the guest house!

A experiência foi incrível, tudo perfeito. Toda a equipa da guest house são pessoas maravilhosas, atentas, e consideradas. Sempre se preocuparam e perguntaram como me estava a sentir. As tarefas são simples, os horários foram respeitados sempre, e a localização da guest me permitiu conhecer muitos lugares. Sou muito grata por ter vivido esta experiência con vocês. Sem dúvidas, um bonito lugar para fazer voluntariado.
