Dettagli del programma

We are a welcoming Vietnamese family living in Ninh Binh, and we would love to invite a volunteer to join us for a cultural exchange. Your main role will be to spend time with our 5-year-old child, introducing simple English through games, songs, stories, and daily conversation.e
Student: 5-year-old child, complete beginner in English
Schedule: 3 hours per day (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm), 6 days a week
Goal: Build confidence, learn basic words and sentences through play, songs, and daily routines.

Attività e turni

Outside of the teaching hours, you are completely free to do whatever you like – go out, explore, or simply relax at home.
The fixed teaching time is from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, since our child is at school during the day. I do not ask for extra hours or help with other household tasks. The only requirement is that you love children and can create simple learning plans to teach our child.
If our cooperation goes well, I would be happy for you to stay with us for 3 to 6 months. This would give enough time for my child to develop basic English communication skills.

✅ Volunteer Requirements

1. Attitude & Personality

-Love children, be patient, and friendly.

-Open-minded and respectful of family culture.

-Positive and cheerful when teaching and living with us.

2. Skills / Experience

-No teaching certificate required, but must speak clear and understandable English.

-Able to organize simple activities such as games, songs, storytelling, or drawing.

-Can create a very basic teaching plan (themes like colors, numbers, animals, etc.).

3. Time Commitment

-Respect the fixed schedule: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, 6 days per week, with 1 day off.

-If cooperation goes well, we prefer a minimum stay of 3–6 months so that our child has enough time to improve.

4. Living with our family

-Keep shared spaces clean and tidy, and respect our home.

-Join family meals and cultural exchange as part of the family.

-No smoking inside the house, and please limit alcohol.

5. Approach to teaching

-Always encourage and motivate the child, never pressure.

-Teach through natural activities (play, songs, drawing, storytelling) instead of formal lessons.

-Use simple English, repeat often, and speak slowly and clearly.
