So from day 1 I felt welcomed, kat, Rob, feebs, big stu and brooke made this happen, beautiful nature, the volunteering hours is very relaxed, fun nights watching movies or getting high - walking up beautiful mountains for example, would highly recommend

Had a reasonable time, it was a very relaxed environment. I had lots of different tasks to do, so i didn't get bored. was definitely a watched area, with media teams and drones about, kind of like a safari park. The only downside was poor communication ,which led to a complication involving a bike. Also i was not prepared for the gardening work, which was surprising, but I did end up with a lot of bites from midgey flies. My advice is repellent and know your limits when it comes to the work, as you are working in places like dense forests.

Just what the doctor ordered! The natural beauty of the lodge is undeniable, and if you're seeking a connection with nature and a unique, enriching experience, then you're in the right place. The work was varied and engaging. All the tasks were more than reasonable and rewarding. The flexible work hours and respect for personal time let me explore the beautiful surroundings. The other volunteers made the experience even more enjoyable. Bring a hammock—the lodge isn't short of trees or views. Thank you, Paul and Louise, and the family, for your hospitality and for making my stay truly unforgettable.

Paul & Louise are amazing hosts with a truly wonderful estate. During my period volunteering I was given the opportunity to help out on a wide range of jobs, from restoring a horsemill to removing fence posts to clearing out old ruined buildings, and with each job I was taught new skills by the incredibly warm and welcoming staff and team here. The grounds are beautiful, the people lovely, and the workload more than reasonable. I cannot recommend this volunteering opportunity strongly enough!

Visiting the lodge was experience one of a kind! Living in a beautiful building full of history, being surrounded by nature and wild animals was definitely my favourite part. Great location with plenty of routes for hikes and bike trips (kindly provided by host). Flexible schedule, working hours are respected, some days you work alone. There is always something to do around the property but tasks are pretty straightforward. The only thing I would like to mention - when reading reviews I assumed meals are provided but you are being paid weekly instead. Thank you for having me and good luck x

I had the most amazing month at the lodge! The volunteering tasks changed day to day depending on what needed to be done so there was always something new. I met some great people and you can really tell the hosts care about the cause. 100% recommend to anyone looking for rural Scottish experience.

My experience was wonderful, it's an experience that all travelers should have. Poule and Louise are lovely people and Sandra is amazing. Not to mention you get the chance to stay in a castle. the food is delicious and everyone is always available for you. I met wonderful people who I hope to see again one day. Thank you all for this wonderful experience, you made my trip to Scotland more beautiful🧡

The lodge is a truly uniqueexperience like few others. Paul and Loiuse are welcoming hosts who live in a beautiful part of the world. The other volunteers were amazing and supported each other as it can (at times) feel a bit isolated if you're haven't spent much time living outside of cities. The work was fair and each day presented new experiences and challenges. the lodge has tonnes of wonderful places to explore and animals to meet. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to spend some time being in nature.

Ben is great! He was a huge help, very cheerful, easy going and fun to have around, but also happy to work hard in what some sometimes filthy weather. Thanks Ben for all you did for us!

If you are looking for something different and connect not only with nature but the lovely people of the lodge, this will be the right place. I can assure you that you will have a unique story to tell after your volunteering here. I miss you already Ramsay family. 🤍🧩

I have no words to describe how amazing this experience has been. For sure, the best one I could have ever imagined. Before going I was a little afraid of the Sccotish accent but the lovely couple of hosts, Louis & Paul, have a gentil accent which I could understand almost everything, really proud about that. To say that the meals were delicious is not enough, they were awsome. The hours of work depend most of the changeovers that are or not in the day, so is not always the same, but they were not never more than expected. I really hope to go back one day, I found a second family there :)
