Nuestra estadía fue maravillosa, la casa es muy linda, los paisajes, las vistas. Manu, Ju, Kauê Y Maya hicieron que nuestro paso por los Pirineos fuese una experiencia muy linda que quedará guardado en nuestros corazones. Siempre nos ayudaron cuando queríamos visitar algún lugar, nos prestaron el carro y tuvimos bicicletas eléctricas siempre a disposición! Un abrazo enorme para todos en el mágico la casa :)

Una experiencia maravillosa, el tiempo fue increíble y aprendimos mucho, el lugar es muy lindo y se come muy bien. Estar con Kaue fue algo muy enriquecedor en el cual volvimos a ser como niños y nos divertimos mucho.

The home is a nice place for connecting with nature/ focusing on yourself. You have a lot of freedom when it comes to organising your tasks. We enjoyed supporting the family by cooking meals, cleaning, playing with Kauê and gardening. Juliana was always kind, willing to communicate with us and showed gratitude. Unfortunately, Manu avoided conversations with us. To approaches from us he reacted rejecting and unfriendly. According to that we felt uncomfortable. But that someone isn't even able to say goodbye properly at the end of living together for 4 weeks is already disrespectful.

My experience at the home was amazing. At the get-go I remember getting there at night and having a yummy welcome dinner which brought a lot of joy to my heart. I had the opportunity to get to know this incredible family where I could share about my culture and get to know theirs. I had really good moments playing with Kauê, having enriching talks at the table, enjoying a book at the chimney, going hiking with Maya (a fellow dog) and a lot more. The sustainable house is really cozy and its surrounding is breathtaking.

Fue una increíble experiencia junto a Kauê, Ju y Manu, vivir en la casa fue disfrutar de la naturaleza, paz y conectarte contigo mismo, además aprendí mucho de diferentes culturas. Es como vivir en una segunda familia y ayudar con las tareas varias de la casa. :)

La experiencia en la casa es genial, Manu y Jule son muy amables y es como estar en una segunda familia. Kauê es un niño activo e inteligente que ama jugar. Es una experiencia maravillosa para desconectarse y aprender nuevas cosas día a día. Las tareas son básicamente limpiar la casa, cocinar y compartir con Kauê, por lo cual es posible disponer de tiempo para conocer los alrededores.

I had a wonderful experience with Emmanuel, Juliana and Kauê (and the wild and sweet Maya🐾)! It was a wonderful experience to be part of this family and to live in this sustainable and lovely house. I loved having the possibilities to create there and to share creativity and activities to decorate this home. They are very interesting people that brought me a lot. I learnt a lot about myself and the world thanks to the exchanges, the conversations and the practices. Thank you for the love !!! 🌞

Alicia was very interested in learning new things and became like a big sister for Kaue. We are grateful for all the beautiful painted bottles, the many "ojos de dios" and many other wonderful things she made with Kaue.

My time at Calguerxo was wonderful, Emmanuel and Juliana are so welcoming and friendly. I learnt a lot with them and I really enjoy my time there with Kauê and Maya also ! I definitely recommend this amazing family that share love, care and smile everyday. See you soon ! 😉

Volunteering at the home means to live with a family, its habits and delicate moments. You'll have a lot of freedom on how and when to do things but communication and setting boundaries are very needed. For me it was not a problem, but an opportunity to learn. Your main tasks will be working as an educator and preparing daily meals, while you'll get to know an interesting, international, funny and BRAVE family, open to new ideas, spiritual, patient and respectful of diversity. If you like music and nature you'll learn and enjoy many things! It's also a great chance to learn Portuguese!

Elisa supported our family life with a lot of dedication and we enjoyed having her around. She is very social and we are glad she got in touch with permaculture which hopefully will stay present in her life.
