Our volunteer program at Brix Hostel is designed to give travelers the chance to live in Prague while gaining hands-on hospitality experience. Volunteers join our team for at least 3 weeks, contributing 20 hours per week. Most volunteers support daily hostel operations such as reception, bar service, and housekeeping, while those with special skills (social media, photography, IT, design, copywriting, or maintenance) may assist with projects.

Our volunteer program at Brix Hostel is designed to give travelers the chance to live in Prague while gaining hands-on hospitality experience. Volunteers join our team for at least 6 weeks, contributing 20 hours per week. Most volunteers support daily hostel operations such as reception, bar service, and housekeeping, while those with special skills (social media, photography, IT, design, copywriting, or maintenance) may assist with projects in those areas. In exchange, volunteers receive free accommodation in a shared dorm, breakfast, kitchen access, discounts at partner restaurants, free tours and activities, and the opportunity to meet and connect with travelers from around the world.

Attività e turni

Volunteer tasks vary depending on skills and interests, but typical shifts include:

Reception: welcoming guests, check-ins/outs, answering questions, sharing local tips

Bar & Social Areas: preparing drinks, keeping common spaces friendly and lively

Housekeeping: assisting with cleaning, laundry, and keeping dorms tidy

Special Projects (optional): photography, social media content, IT support, copywriting, design, or maintenance

Shifts are usually 4–5 hours, scheduled flexibly throughout the week. Volunteers have plenty of free time to explore Prague and enjoy the city’s culture.

Regole

To keep the program fun and fair, we ask all volunteers to follow a few simple rules:

Minimum commitment of 3 weeks.

20 hours of work per week, divided into shifts.

Be punctual, responsible, and respectful to guests, staff, and fellow volunteers.

Keep shared areas and volunteer dorms clean and tidy.

No excessive drinking or disruptive behavior inside the hostel.

Represent Brix Hostel positively when interacting with guests or partners.
