L'Esperienza
Join our family farm for the autumn olive harvest (Oct–Nov). Tasks: hand-picking, nets/rakes, sorting, light grove upkeep; possible mill visit and tasting. Shifts: 4–5h/day, 5 days/week. Requirements: fit for outdoor work; training provided. Shared accommodation and meals on work days included. We also offer a modest financial contribution.

My time at the farm was amazing!! Paola is such a sweet woman, she made me feel welcome from the first day and was regularly making sure everything was good. I was there during the chestnut harvest which meant a lot of work but we had agreed on that beforehand and it was really rewarding. Plus I got to see the whole process and learn everything there is about chestnuts. The location was beautiful to say the least, lots of mountains and small local villages in the area. I hope to return one day. Thanks again Paola!!!

We had a wonderful time at the farm' the farm. Paola is a lovely host who makes sure everybody feels welcome and at home. She made sure we got to know the region, the culture, the amazing food and a lot more. Thank you so much for everything Paola!! We helped with the chestnut harvest which is a lot of work in a short amount of time. But if you love to tackle a challenge and to learn a lot about chestnuts and the work that needs to be done all year around to be able to pick them up in fall and have the most amazing marrone you've ever tasted - then it's totally worth it!!!

I really love my time at the farm' the farm. The place is really beautiful and peaceful. Paola was very flexible and thoughtful, she always made sure of explain more than the tasks but why things were made that way, so I really have learned a lot. I believe that the work may change a lot according with the season. I went in the beginning of june and helped with the kids that go visiting the farm. It was really nice. But the work is intense and there were days quite full. It's a great opportunity to be in touch with nature and improve your Italian.

Volunteering at the farm' the farm was an incredibly rewarding and truly fulfilling experience for me. The place is beautiful, organized and well-structured, with comfy and tidy private suites and a shared kitchen to make the meals. Paola is very kind, friendly, supportive, gentle, generous and encouraging. I loved to take care of the animals and also work with gardening, harvesting fruits, collecting eggs and woods. I highly recommend volunteering to anyone who is responsible with schedule, especially feeding the animals, likes to work hard and looks to make a difference while growing personally.
