I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! The team - Manza, Chenon, Michenne and Kumar were all lovely and the travellers I met there became friends for life. the hostel has a really great social atmosphere with lots of events happening and a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Great place to spend some time volunteering :)

I was in here for short time but already felt like part of family. It's a social hostel. Manager Manza created a great place. There was more volunteers. I like the bunk. It's clean and tidy always. Family dinners on Wednesday is just perfect. I will definitely ask them again to volunteer if I am coming to Sri Lanka back. Working time is flexible you can schedule with Manza. Lots of party place near by. So don't think twice just come experience this great place.

The hostel was the best hostel where I've stayed so far and I loved painting murals here. I could do the work anytime I wanted and I had plenty of free time to learn surfing, or hang out with friends. Our room was very comfortable (we had AC and hot water). the hostel was very chill, everybody was friendly and we had programs like volleyball, games, family dinner and parties every day!! Thank you Manza and Chenann for welcoming me here and the opportunity to create some artworks in the hostel. It was an unforgettable time and I would definitely come back here!!

There was a small miscommunication with the host at the beginning, which was handled well and the host was flexible and accommodating. Due to other reasons I ended up volunteering for only 1,5 weeks instead of four. The host was very understanding about that. Overall I had a good volunteering experience and the hostel is very social with lovely people!!

Ive had a great time at the hostel. the hostel is fairly clean. The kitchen is not good though and is not fully equipped either. the is no way of heating food except for a kettle. The staff fridge doesnt work either. The rooms are quite clean and tidy but in general the hostel needs a bit more maintenance. I worked way more than the worldpackers blog described and not for a lot tbh. At one point i made socialmedia, were socialhost and in reception at the same time for only a bed. The host needs to be way better at teaching his crew. It was amazing because of the people for me.

It was great experience as I got to meet other travellers and mural artists and we created some great murals together. The room that I stayed had no door, only curtains and sometimes host and others made parties right behind the curtain so it wasnt comfortable at times. We had some communication issues with the host as first. Surfing was not free and there were no yoga. So expect to pay for all activities and food when you go there. And not much privacy in the room. Other than that it was fun to do some art and start learning surfing. If you party person you will love it!

My experience at the hostel began positively: welcoming vibe, light tasks (off-season), and plenty of time to explore. the hostel was clean, with a great social space to meet others. Unfortunately, I left earlier than planned due to an uncomfortable situation that, as a woman, made me feel uneasy. I believe every volunteer deserves a respectful and safe environment, and certain comments simply shouldn't happen in a professional setting. I appreciated that when I voiced my concerns, they were supportive and understanding of my decision.
