The hostel Hostal was our first Worldpackers project and it was a great start into the volunteering world! We met interesting people and had much doing our tasks, which did not take to long, so we had enough time and flexibility to explore Santiago! The hostel is in a party neighborhood, so you have to be prepared for loud noices in the night, but nevertheless we really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

El hostel es una maravilla. Tiene una ubicación céntrica (a menos de 20 minutos de todos los lugares de interés) y está en medio de un barrio de fiesta. No sólo la amplia gama de colores con que está pintada la casa es acogedora, sino que el equipo de voluntarios te hace sentir como en casa. Las tareas eran muy flexibles y tenías mucho tiempo para disfrutar de la ciudad.

Had a great time and ended up extending my stay. The location, schedule, and people made it a fun experience, plus I got to go beyond and really feel like I contributed.

Pauline é muito atenciosa e recebe a todos muito bem. O hostel tem uma energia única e é um lugar incrível, recomendo. Mesmo fechado, tem manutenção para fazer, mas nada muito complicado. Aprendi novas habilidades. Os packers que conheci fizeram a diferença e foi maravilhoso fazer parte da família o hostel. Santiago me surpreendeu positivamente e vou levar muitas lembranças boas.

The staff were really kind and did their best to communicate with me in English which I appreciated. They also invited me for drinks on the first night. The reason I am leaving a low review is bc I left very quickly the hostel. Smoking weed in the team dorm was allowed, but I didn't knew and I felt very uncomfortable with the constant smell in the room that would've gotten into my things too. Breakfast was also not provided like the position said it would. I would take the time to ask questions and make things clear before arriving to know what to expect! Thank you Paulina for your time!

O hostel é espaçoso e confortável, as tarefas são fáceis e os horários respeitados. Todavia, o hostel está fechado e em processo de reabertura, portanto não tem muito fluxo de pessoas, e por isso não recomendo para pessoas que desejam socializar, pois até os outros voluntários moram em Santiago e não possuem tempo para a socialização. Infelizmente não consegui me adaptar a isso e a cidade, portanto finalizei meu voluntariado mais cedo. Tirando isso, tudo certo. Obrigada por me receber, Pauli! Sucesso na reabertura!!

O hostel tem uma energia incrível. Pude conhecer galera do mundo todo e trocar muitas experiências com outros voluntários. Valeu a pena o aprendizado e a vibe do lugar!!!
