I would not recommend this position to anyone. The country of Croatia requires that a business be registered as a non profit organization in order to accept volunteers. Volunteer permits are required for everyone. This is not being done and it puts the inexperienced traveler at risk of being in legal trouble with the local police and authorities for not having proper documentation and unlawful immigration, even though you are travelling. It is considered work, and you need documents to work in Croatia. The position is essentially on call work. The host is not proactive about giving days off.
