PDRI is seeking a dedicated volunteer to transport 13 laptops from a Labdoo Hub located in Germany, Switzerland, or Spain to Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. These laptops are essential to expanding our EduTech Refuge Project, an initiative co-led by PDRI and Aryan Garg, a scholar from Vanderbilt University (USA).

Dettagli del programma

Once in Kakuma, the volunteer will train refugee youth and community members in essential ICT skills to enhance learning, organization management, and digital inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
• Transport 13 laptops safely from a designated Labdoo Hub to Kakuma Refugee Camp.
• Deliver hands-on ICT training in areas such as:
o Database Management
o Financial Management Software
o Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
o Other relevant digital tools (depending on volunteer’s expertise)
• Support PDRI in improving our digital record-keeping and data systems.
Impact
Your contribution will:
• Empower refugees and host community members with practical digital skills.
• Support the expansion of EduTech Refuge Project to reach more learners.
• Strengthen PDRI’s internal operations with sustainable digital practices.
• Make a tangible difference in bridging the digital divide in refugee settings.

The volunteer will be working 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
