I spent a wonderful month in Ericeira! The workload was super manageable, as the guesthouse isn't too big and you get a very fair amount of days off. The working hours were respected. The manager there is amazing and communicates problems well and respectfully. Apart from that, Ericeira offers not only opportunity to surf, but is also great if you want to go out. One last tip if you get to go here: Before you go, double check with Bruno if you're supposed to be in Ericeira or the other hostel in Baleal.

La experiencia en la casa fue hermosa. Me sentí muy cómoda y a gusto con el lugar, el espacio, las instalaciones y las personas con quienes compartí. Dar clases de yoga a diario y a participantes de diferentes lugares me enseñó muchísimo; fue un intercambio constante y profundamente enriquecedor. Bruno es una persona muy atenta y generosa, y estoy muy agradecida por esta oportunidad y por haber llegado a este lugar. Ericeira me enamoró.

I had an opportunity to stay for one month at Baleal Guesthouse and the other two at the guest house. Baleal Guesthouse, Surf house and the guest house are awesome when it comes to socialising with the volunteers (it was a big team and felt like a true community!), surfing (couple of spots in walking distance) and enjoying the local vibes. the guest house is beautifully located (surf spot basically in front of the house), the vibes are more chill, the place is more quiet as there are less volunteers and guests in the house. The working hours were respected, it was all well-organised :) Thank you!

One of the best experiences I've ever had! If you like surfing, yoga, small charming towns and working with friendly people then this is your place. I'm so grateful for this opportunity that helped me grow as a yoga teacher and for the people, the space and the host Bruno. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Love it here 🌞❣️

I had an amazing experience in Baleal! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. If you want to learn how to surf, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend going there. I can't wait to go back!!!

It were 2 fantastic months, Bruno is really social and super friendly. If you have a problem or something you can always contact him and he will fix it. The manager Rhavy is super chill and friendly, the tasks are really easy. You have a lot of free time to enjoy the waves and the beauty of baleal. There is a big group of volunteers what makes it a small community it's really cool.

Volunteering for Bruno was an incredible experience! The vibe at the hostel was super chill, with great energy, amazing people from all over the world, and of course, plenty of surfing. Bruno is an outstanding host—welcoming, easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about everyone having a good time. The work was simple and gave me plenty of time to surf, explore, and connect with awesome people. The other volunteers and manager Rhavy made the experience even better. I'm super grateful for the opportunity and would absolutely do it again!

Staying at the guest house hostel was my first worldpackers experience and it truly could not have been better. I ended up staying in a truly magical place. I reached the ocean in one minute from the hostel, the place is surrounded by beautiful beaches, flowers the ocean and paths to walk close to the beach. The nearest supermarket is only 10 minutes walk away and also the small town is 15 mins away. The work was super easy and quick, general cleaning everyday and cleaning the rooms:) The house was really nice and looked like a small villa. Bruno was really helpful and understanding;)

I had a great time, with a welcoming atmosphere among the volunteers and the manager, always making plans together. The hostel is well located and close to spectacular beaches. On the downside, the room was used as a storage space for towels and sheets, so we had zero privacy. we had a glass door that faced the street which was broken and never fixed (we informed the managers and they told us it was dangerous and needed to be replaced, but they didn't do it). Also, the schedule is not clearly stated in the app, although the tasks are easy and manageable.
