Llegamos el día antes de comenzar, y cómo nos habían cancelado la reserva de hotel, nos recibieron. Al principio estuvo un poco complicado la comunicación con Pía, pero luego fue todo un poco más fluido y pudimos comunicarnos bien. Yuri es un anfitrión muy bueno. Le gusta que esté todo impecable, por eso es que recomiendo mucho su hostel como para quedarse algunas noches o como para voluntariar. Pudimos trabajar y estudiar tranquilos, ya que tiene un espacio apto. Además fueron muy amables, y nos dieron una habitación privada para nosotros. Una experiencia muy linda, espero volverlo a ver!

Best experience of my life! 🤩🤩🤩 This was my very first volunteering experience and it couldn't have been better. The hostel vibe is incredible—everyone is friendly, positive, and welcoming. Yuri and Pía made me feel like part of their family, always caring about my well-being and making me smile. Truly wonderful people with beautiful hearts! The location is also perfect: close to everything for sightseeing during the day and enjoying Palermo's nightlife at night. I completely fell in love with both the hostel and the city. I'll always be grateful for this unforgettable experience! 💗

Fue un placer poder realizar este voluntariado en lo de Yuri y su madre. Aprendie, conoci y fui a lugares muy lindos, palermo es una ciudad con muchas energías. Comparti con Yuri un dia de termas y con pia un dia de playa. Agradecido de que me Abram las puertas de su hostel y de su casa. Fue una estaría tranquila

La mia esperienza all'ostello è stata sensazionale. Sono stata accolta benissimo da Yuri e Pia. Anche se praticamente non parlo italiano, loro sono stati super pazienti nello spiegarmi tutto e nell'aiutarmi in ogni cosa. Il lavoro è molto semplice e tranquillo, ho scelto la modalità di 3 ore e avevo ancora tempo libero. L'ostello è situato in una posizione perfetta, nel centro storico e vicinissimo a tutti i bar. La pasta al pesto 💙 Sono davvero molto, molto grata a voi per tutto, porto con me un ricordo bellissimo de Palermo grazie voi. È stato un privilégio per me! Grazie mille 💙

There is a high standard expected for the work, especially with the cleaning, but the work is only around 2-3 hours so if you can adjust to this you can have a great experience here. Yuri really loves his hostel and is very protective of it. He prefers to have people who know how to work well and doesn't want anyone who can't handle a couple of hours of hard work. The place is very clean when the team works well together. Pia, Yuris mother, is very lovely and welcoming and often cooks a beautiful lunch for you if you want it.

I enjoyed palermo as a city and the hostel was nice and clean. The working hours were respected and were just a few a day, the host did also warn that it would be hot while working which i respected. I felt that a lot and was expected and the work was hard considering we were volunteers, not paid workers. Unfortunately I had to leave early which the host got mad about even though it's compeletely in the rights of a worldpacker :)

You have every right to leave, but it's not fair that you're staying for six days when you told me you'd stay more than a month. We don't accept volunteers for a week. I wasn't angry, but rather explained that you were breaking a promise.
