We bring together players of all levels to compete, learn, and grow in a supportive environment. From our Worldpackers, we expect enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to actively contribute to the chess club’s activities, whether through organizing events, coaching players, or helping with promotions. We value teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude to create a welcoming environment for all members.

In return, they should expect a supportive community, opportunities to develop leadership and chess skills, and meaningful experiences that enrich their personal growth. We provide guidance, resources, and recognition for their efforts, ensuring their time with us is rewarding and impactful.

Attività e turni

Daily Activities Checklist:

Set up the chess venue: arrange boards, pieces, and seating
Welcome members and guests, assist with registrations
Facilitate warm-up exercises or mini-games to engage players
Support coaching sessions by helping players understand strategies
Organize and manage friendly matches or tournaments
Promote club events on social media or local community boards
Clean up and store equipment after activities
Provide feedback or suggestions to improve club operations

Shift Description:
Shifts are typically 3 to 4 hours long, scheduled in the afternoons or early evenings to accommodate school and work schedules. Volunteers may work 3 to 5 days a week depending on club events and their availability. Flexibility is encouraged to cover special tournaments or workshops on weekends.

Regole

it’s important that every Volunteer understands and follows a few key rules to keep the club running smoothly and respectfully. They should always be punctual and reliable, communicate clearly if they can’t make a shift, and treat all members with respect and kindness regardless of skill level or background. Confidentiality about any personal information shared within the club is essential. Also, volunteers should avoid any behavior that could disrupt the positive and inclusive atmosphere we strive to maintain.
