Great experience with Tara the Center and people here! It's a place full of kind people and place to meet other travelers. I was very kindly welcomed, and I enjoyed every day of the stay. I've worked mostly in café, which i preferred. It helped me improve my skills and find out how café works. Working on grounds was also great, there are a lot of beautifull old trees. I have to give a big compliment to chefs. I'm not vegetarian, but I really enjoyed meals there and found tastes which are new to me. I didn't miss the meat. It was my first experience with volunteering and I think it was worth it.

My experience in Tara the Center has been lovely and as my first Worldpackers volunteering it motivates me to keep travelling and applying to other opportunities in the future. I really recommend this place for those who want to volunteer being surrounded by nature, with very kind people and meeting other the Center volunteers. Thank you to everyone in Tara!

To volunteer in Tara the Center it's been an amazing experience. I learned about Buddhism, I get to practice my English with the residents and other volunteers. Everyone is so kind, loving and caring. The working hours are fair, comfy bed on a big bedroom, delicious food everyday, you can attend meditation sessions. Overall I would totally recommend to others to come.

I must start by saying thank you. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Everyone was so wonderful and warm. It was safe and felt like a home away from home! It was also fun work! This was my first ever Worldpackers trip and it has opened the doors to a new world of travel and adventure. Feeling grateful and so so inspired! I will be back.

Olá!!! The work can be divided into areas, which can change during a week: kitchen, garden (a little heavier/not impossible), maintenance and household. Being in a the Center environment, like Tara, is an opportunity to grow as a person. Ximena and her sister are always ready to guide, Donna is a sweet person. It was essential to be there to look at myself more and evolve. By prior arrangement, you can even participate in events. Be open to discovering a new culture. I spent weeks, I recommend it. :) Abraço. Até!

I had a fantastic time volunteering at Tara the Center, everyone there is super welcoming and I felt at home there very quickly. There are lots of different jobs to do and the flexibility is great. The grounds are amazing for working outside and the location is very peaceful. Brilliant food and facilities, and interesting classes for those wanting to learn more about Buddhism. Very relaxed atmosphere :)

Tara is a super special place and I feel very fortunate to have been able to volunteer here! The energy of those who live at Tara is something I have never experienced before in this capacity, everyone is so calm, helpful, generous, and inspiring. Being able to go to as many meditation/prayer classes as a volunteer was a huge bonus and am so grateful for all I have learned during my stay here. I worked solely in the cafe for 3 weeks and loved it! I loved living in this space and cannot wait to visit again soon <3 PS the food is amazing and the girls dorm is super spacious and clean!

I was lucky enough to spend almost all of my volunteer time in the café and truly loved it there! I got to learn how to make espresso drinks which was a goal of mine. It consisted of meeting locals, talking with guests and serving food/drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about beginner the Center/dharma practices, going to prayers, meditations and reading the free e-books provided. I learned beginner techniques that I can take away and apply to my daily life. I hope to be back one day.
