I had an incredible experience at OTH and absolutely loved volunteering there. The hostel is very centrally located, cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped — it truly has everything you could need. The staff and guests were amazing, it was easy to socialise and make genuine connections; I met wonderful people who I can now call friends. The hostel even provided us with some food, which was very much appreciated. I also joined several tours organized by the hostel. I had plenty of time to explore the Algarve, one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Thank you so much, Roy and Aline! 🧡

I had the time of my life at OTH! Roy and Aline (and of course Sunny!) are amazing hosts who truly care about their volunteers and also love to spend time with us😍 also I really liked the work at the hostel, as you get to meet so much people from all over the world. After this experience I know I have a second home in Portugal♥️ #OTHFamily #sunsettour♥️

One of the best experiences of my life! I spent a month at the hostel for my first volunteering adventure, and it couldn't have been better. The hostel is super nice and always clean, and the staff and owners are absolute gems – they make you feel like part of the family. The work is really chill, and you have lots of free time to explore the city, meet new people, or just relax. I'm so grateful for this experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to volunteer! :)))))))

I spent the whole month of July at the hostel and I honestly couldn't have dreamed of a better place. The team is incredibly welcoming, kind and generous — they truly make you feel at home from day one. The energy of the place is so special: calm, cozy, and vibrant all at once. Guests come in as strangers and leave as friends (and it's not just a slogan — it's real!). I'm deeply grateful for everything I've experienced here. It's a place you'll carry in your heart long after you leave.

Volunteering at the hostel was a great experience! Shifts were as agreed and scheduled a month in advance. The upstairs the hostel is an amazing hangout spot, it's close to the beach, and the team was super welcoming. Sunny, the hostel dog, made the experience extra special.

Im very grateful of my time in OTH, they really treat everyone as a part of a family. The hostel is very well organized, clean and well managed and the work is very easy. The only thing that doesn't fit me very well was the location in the center of Albufeira. Indeed, it's perfect if you are a party person but in my case i found it a bit overwhelming. So if you are more of a chill person i suggest you to find another place. Other than that i would 100% recommend to work for OTH. Thank you for everything i will keep a part of you in my heart ❤️

I absolutely loved this hostel and the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and they offer great facilities for the staff and volunteers. I was working two days (8 hour shifts) and had two days off which was great for me since I had a lot of time to explore during my free time. My tasks were mainly cleaning but also check-outs and check-ins. Shift always started slowly, then a higher pace in the middle when guests checked out, and then ending in a bit slower pace again while waiting for check-ins = a good balance. The hostel really felt like home. I'd come back for sure! 🤩

10 stars!!!... Roy & Aline excellent people. They have a hostel that looks like a 5 ⭐ hotel, it everything up to gym and pool, all the facilities and very complete and in excellent condition. They are very organized people who make things work properly, clean, tidy in a very cozy atmosphere. Instead, They make guests as well as volunteers feel at home... It doesn't say in the program that they provide breakfast but they provide the ingredients... just say that loved it!!.. and it's a shame my time was short.

My experience at OTH was amazing. The hostel is perfectly located, well-organized, and gives you a warm, homely feeling the moment you arrive. Aline and Roy are incredibly generous and kind-hearted people. They even organize shared dinners for the staff and volunteers — a great way to bond as a team. The guests were friendly and open, so there was always an opportunity for good company if I wanted it, and plenty of time to explore the beauty of the Algarve. Last but not least: Sunny was always there to brighten up the day with his cuteness and unique personality! Thank you for everything!❤️

The best hostel I've ever stayed at! Beautiful place, organized, super clean, well located. Aline and Roy, you're amazing! You're very fair with the volunteers and go above and beyond to make sure everything runs perfectly — and Sunny, of course, makes the hostel even more charming 😂 I really wish I could've stayed longer. I hope to come back another year and stay for an entire season.🙂
