Esperanza Hostel & Pachamama Tours in Antigua began as a nonprofit supporting mothers and children in need. Our therapy-trained dogs and rescued cats are still the heart of our home today. We’re looking for a caring volunteer to be a Home & Pet Guardian: feeding, walking, and loving the animals, keeping hostel and agency areas tidy, and enjoying peaceful natural surroundings.

Your Role

We’re looking for a caring volunteer to be a Home & Pet Guardian. You’ll help us care for our therapy-trained dogs and rescued cats, while also keeping our hostel and agency spaces warm, welcoming, and tidy.

Tasks:
Feed, walk & love our dogs 🐕
Care for and spend time with our rescued cats 🐈
Keep hostel & agency areas clean, organized & secure
Clean up after the animals and make sure they’re happy and comfortable
Enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings 🌿

You Are:
Reliable & proactive
A true animal lover (dogs and cats!)
Someone who enjoys calm, meaningful experiences

By joining us, you’ll be part of a space built on hope, care, and community, helping us continue the spirit that makes Esperanza special.

Shifts are Friday to Tuesday.
Both, morning and afternoon shifts are needed.

Regole

All volunteers must commit to:

Be punctual, Be reliable, Be responsible.
Notify us if your availability changes or if you are leaving the organization.
Handle grievances in the proper manner. Participate in training courses as requested. Ask for help when you need it. Support other team members
HOUSE RULES
Excessive alcohol consumption of alcohol is not allowed in the house. No guests are allowed in the hostel without consent. No drugs or weapons are allowed in the hostel.. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in termination of your program.

Please note that meals are only provided on the days you work. If you have questions please ask the owner directly to negotiate.
