My 2 weeks experience at Sae Lao project was absolutely stunning: the dorms are clean (or you can request to stay in a private room), the restaurant area is perfect to chat with the other volunteers and you get everything you need. The teaching activities are just a couple of hours per day, with different English levels and the rest of the day is dedicated to other activities (cooking, cleaning, repairing,...) and the sense of community is strong, so each task become fun and satisfying. Weekends are free to explore the amazing nature of Laos so I would reccomend this to everyone!

My three-week volunteer experience at the Sae Lao Project was nothing short of transformative. From the warmth of the Laos team to the unforgettable moments teaching the children, every aspect exceeded expectations. The sense of unity and familial bond among the team members made the experience truly special. Leaving was bittersweet, but I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to make a positive impact and cherish the memories created. I wholeheartedly recommend the Sae Lao Project to anyone seeking a meaningful volunteer experience in a nurturing environment.

I loved Sae Lao, the staff and support you have throughout the whole time are amazing. You really feel like a family here and the teaching experience at the schools is a once and a lifetime opportunity, I will be back as soon as possible!

I had a great time at Saelao and definitely recommend this volunteering position. The staff is very kind and was very dedicated to ensure everyone is having a good time. The kids were very sweet and are keen to learn the language. There are also lot of opportunities to share your own ideas on how to improve the project.

I stayed for a month in the Sae Lao project. My experience as a volunteer was nothing short of amazing. Peter (the host) is a very compassionate and inclusive leader that always ensures all volunteers feel welcome and part of the team. I was the educational coordinator for 3 out of 4 weeks which meant I was in charge of assigning both the different classes the volunteers teach in as well as allocating daily activities/task i.e. gardening, cooking dinner, renovating, lesson planning etc. The operation runs smoothy thanks to driven and motivated volunteers. All in all, an incredible experience.

During the 2 weeks i spent here it was amazing to meet everyone from the project and Volunteers there and have the opportunity to help to teach Tui and the kids! I would definitely recommend this to other people although keep an open mind and do not expect the cleanest living conditions since the dorms are open and toilets are squat ones but it is only a minor down side in relation to all that is good in this project! I hope to come back in the future and Thank you so much Peter, Tui, Chang lee and everyone else for making me feel so welcome!

Volunteering at Saelao was amazing! The team truly cares for each of their volunteers. We're able to choose our daily & weekly morning tasks: I chose social media & I had the freedom to create content with my own style.The work is fun & it feels so good to give back to the community. I absolutely loved teaching my students & I will forever remember their sweet smiles and faces. They have such a wonderful thirst for knowledge & are eager to learn :) The impact they left on me is so big & I will miss them so much. I'm so grateful for my time at SaeLao & I definitely recommend this experience✨🥰
