Dettagli del programma

Hello! We are Abdel & Luke, qualified English tutors from Morocco (Abdel) and the small island of Guernsey (Luke), living in the city of Beni Mellal, Morocco. As part of a small team of locals and volunteers we have just launched a new language school in addition to our sister schools in neighbouring L’Attaouia - and Kelaa Des Shragna. This is our 3rd listing on worldpackers!

The apartment
● Please make sure you lock the door as you leave.
● Always keep the communal spaces and your bedroom clean and tidy.
● Any breakages or anything that does not work properly, please let us know ASAP so we
can fix it as repair shops and equipment are not always open or available. The sooner you
tell us, the sooner we can get it done.

The school
● Whilst Moroccan timekeeping is often more ‘inshallah’ than ‘immediately’, it’s always good
to be around the building a few minutes before your classes.
● If you have any questions or requests with your timetable and classes (or ideas for the
school!) please contact Said or Khadija!
● We have Bluetooth speakers, markers, coloured pencils and a guitar to aid in classes
should you need anything extra!
● Do keep checking the timetable spreadsheet on your phone (changes occur) and the ES
WhatsApp group. Wi-Fi is available at the school, as well as most cafés and shops.
Moroccan SIMs and data are incredibly affordable - if you need, one of our staff or your
many new friends here will be happy to show you where to buy one.
● Taboo topics when speaking with the students, religion, sex.

It’s also important for all
volunteers, male and female, to respect the unofficial ‘dress code’ of the area and keep it on the
modest side. It is also very important to dress appropriately when attending the school. As a
volunteer teacher you represent the school
