A very warm atmosphere, Tuti and Mati were very friendly and attentive to all the volunteers. We were basically like a family, a highly recommended experience.

Otra increíble estadía en la casa! Mi segunda vez voluntariando acá y supero mis expectativas como siempre. El equipo de trabajo fenomenal, las tareas y horarios súper equitativas. Instalaciones lindas y limpias, espacios comunes para compartir entre todos, clases de surf, espacio para hacer ejercicio. Tuti y Mati gracias por todo nuevamente. Coda te voy a extrañar, pura vida❤️

La casa es un muy buen lugar para voluntarear, esta bien ubicado dentro de Tamarindo, la casa es acogedora y los dueños también, haciendo siempre buen ambiente, compartiendo con huéspedes y haciendonos sentir en casa. Fue también una buena oportunidad para aprender a surfear y hacer surf skate, durante la temporada baja es bastante tranquilo pero te permite disfrutar de otras maneras. Coda y Pavona son lo máximo, nada como tener mascotas en el hostel <3

Maikekai es hermoso, súper cómodo y acogedor. En pleno centro de Tama y muy cerca del mar. Mati y Tuti siempre están dispuestos a ayudar, escuchar sugerencias, a compartirte un mate, una charla, un juego de cartas o una tarde de artesanías. Gracias por todo lo compartido!

This was my first volunteering experience and the guest house has definitely set the bar high! Maria, Matias and all the other lovely volunteers made me feel so welcome. The shifts were honestly enjoyable, I loved checking in and meeting guests from all over the world. The cleaning was absolutely fine. And the shift times allowed for you to enjoy so much of the day. They were very thoughtful, always made sure us volunteers had enough food, we'd have some lovely dinners, and surf sessions together. I've made some great memories. I wish them all the best as they've built something truly special.

La casa fue una sorpresa grata. Tamarindo es pequeño y la ubicacion de la casa es ideal: alejada del ruido pero a 5min andando de la playa, supermercado, entretenimientos. Las tareas son sencillas y distribuidas de manera justa. La casa tiene identidad, es limpia y acogedora, con muchos espacios comunes en los que compartimos el tiempo jugando/comiendo/conociendonos. Más allá de lo pactado host-voluntario, Maria y Mati saben estar en los detalles y cuidarte, a la vez que te ordenan y te brindan estructura. Incluso hice algunos tours que me costaron mas baratos por ir de su parte ;) Gracias

Vengan preparados para querer quedarse! Maike es el hogar que nos espera a todos con un abrazote. Del hostel puedo decir que se siente como una casita, siempre limpio, si se rompe algo se arregla inmediatamente, las camas son súper cómodas y los lockers también. La ubicación es ideal, cerca de todo! Pero hablando de lo importante, María es la mejor host, súper atenta, muy generosa, siempre está presente y con ganas de ayudarte. En cuanto al trabajo es tal cual lo que se pide por WP. Limpieza, algunos check in y check outs, un poquitito de jardinería. Se respetan las horas y hay flexibilidad

Home away from home! 🌸💖 Big thanks to Tuti and Mati for making me feel like part of the family. The hostel has such a relaxed, cozy vibe, and you can really make the experience your own. The work is straightforward and easy to pick up, leaving plenty of time to enjoy surfing, the beach, nightlife, or just chill. The hosts, manager, and staff are incredibly kind and fun—prepare for lots of laughs and endless card games.

La casa es un hermoso lugar para hacer el voluntariado! Mati y Tuti son hosts increibles, que te reciben con los brazos abiertos y hacen que sientas el hostel como una casa. Las tareas son super llevaderas y siempre hay alguien dispuesto a ayudar si lo necesitas. Los horarios de trabajo estan muy organizados y te permite recorrer en el tiempo libre. En el hostel conoci personas increibles de todas partes del mundo y ademas tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar al maximo Tamarindo y algunas partes de Costa Rica. Mi experiencia fue increible asi que lo recomiendo 100%. Espero poder volver!

Nati was a fantastic volunteer! Super responsible and always taking care of the space with great attention and care. She was proactive, dependable, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her attitude was always positive, and she brought a great vibe to the team. On top of that, her English is perfect, which made communication super easy with both guests and staff.
We’d love to have her back anytime — highly recommended!
