Pretty unforgettable ❤️ Drake Bay is very cool. If your into nature you will love it. Lots of beaches to explore and animals to see. The hostel itself is surrounded by nature and has a very chilled atmosphere. The shifts are very fair and not strenuous. the hostel team are lovely people, super kind, welcoming and a lot of fun. I had the opportunity to join in on a couple of their tours which was a big plus :)

Bahía Drake es el lugar de Costa Rica que mas me pareció autentico, la gente es muy amable y generosa y flora y fauna son increibles. En el hostel del hostel, Estefanie y Gioconda te hacen sentir como en casa, se comparten charlas, se comparte comida y se trabaja juntos. Las tareas son de recepción y de limpieza. Los dueños del hostel también tienen un tour operador y tuve la suerte de hacer tres tours con ellos y les agradezco muchisimo porque fue geniál! Lo único que se podría mejorar es la organisación del trabajo y de los horarios de las voluntarias.

I had a great time at the hostel! The people I met were super kind and welcoming. Working there was really fun and also came with responsibilities. The hours were flexible and there is a lot of nature to explore in the area or you can just relax at one of many beaches in your free time. I would definitely recommend it!

Overall, I had a wonderful time at the hostel. However, I will mention that I applied for the farming and gardening position but learned on the first day every volunteer is expected to help with reception, administration, and cleaning tasks as well. Upon learning this, I personally decided to stay and am glad I did. Even though I didn't learn much more about gardening, it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone to work independently on finding and doing related projects and also engage in other non-related tasks with an open mind to learn and grow in other ways while enjoying the beautiful area.

The hostel is a beautiful place, you're surrounded by nature and local animals. The walk to town is short, and the isolated grounds let you feel the full impact of the jungle. They are also a tour company and the staff is great about showing you around and letting you join in on tours when there's space.

La experiencia en el hostel fue grandiosa, el Hostel es hermoso, tuve un cuarto privado, la comida fue super accesible ya que por USD 40 tuve la comida de todo el mes, y el cocinero hace comida muuuy rica. El equipo genial, me llevo muchos amigos! El pueblo es muy bonito, en la selva, la playa preciosa y muy cerca, además si uno hace bien el trabajo puede tener tours gratis, yo hice el Night tour dos veces y aprendí rapel. Muchas gracias a Estefanie y a todos 💙 Los voy a extrañar!

Experiencia super intensa y bonita en mitad de la jungla de drake bay, si buscas naturaleza y animales, este sitio es perfecto… Mucha flexibilidad y buen rollo!

This is the perfect place if you want to explore the costa rican jungle. the vibe is very chill, the staff is nice and I really appreciated the free tours :) it might take some time to get used to drake but after a couple of days I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere
