Neil was clear about the work to be carried out: to burn wood to reduce risk from any forest fires. The house was in the mountains which was quiet and relaxing after a hard days work. The place is the home and the home, the room was cosy with the fire and private at the side of the house. It was productive as all work was completed, and some trips out the nearby villages, markets and meeting family friends was perfect. I felt welcome here and enjoyed conversations with Neil about travelling, life and construction advice. Thank you for everything.

We had a really great time clearing some of the woodland surrounding the house to lower fire risk. It was challenging work but interesting and well worth it for a stay in such a beautiful area

Staying with Neil and Anna was a great opportunity to connect with the outdoors - with luscious surroundings and plenty of opportunity to explore outside of working hours. They were very trusting with us at their property - giving us confidence in gaining new skills when working on the house and in the nearby forest. They were very accommodating of my dietary requirements and made some delicious meals! Plus a comfortable, peaceful place to sleep at night. Thanks Anna & Neil for an amazing opportunity!

Spent a total of 11 nights with Anna and Neil and the whole experience was excellent. The work was well planned out, satisfying and achievable. The property itself is in a beautiful part of the country with many great walks, swimming holes, rivers and cute little towns so I was never without fun things to do during my generous amount of free time. Anna and Neil are wonderful hosts and the hospitality (and great food) they provided made my stay with them all the better. Overall an awesome experience. Thanks guys!!
