Firstly, the experience working with the children and teachers was incredible and it was amazing to be able to volunteer here. As a whole it was a great opportunity to delve into the authentic Cambodian culture and engage with the community. However I feel that our time here could have been slightly better. For example, a more welcoming approach from the family hosting us, a better description of the accommodation facilities as 2 out of the 3 bathrooms were unusable and the 3rd did not flush and better indication of lesson plan structure so that we could've been more prepared.

I want to start by speaking highly of the school. The children, teachers and the school itself were amazing. At the end of the experience, the children wrote lovely notes of appreciation, which was such a heartwarming gesture. Main nightlight: Family night dinner on Saturday. However, I think the Accommodation should be better reflected in the ad. 2/3 toilets were out of service, another didn't flush. Also the matress and sheets on the floor were very dirty. I believe that more involvement from the family and a deeper focus on Cambodia's history would have improved our experience by a mile!
