Program Description: 4th Grade Volunteer Support Program

The 4th Grade Volunteer Support Program is designed to provide additional educational support in the classroom by pairing volunteers with the main teacher to enhance the learning experience of students. This program offers volunteers the opportunity to engage directly with young learners and contribute to their academic growth while gaining hands-on experience in a classroom setting.

Program Goals:

To support the 4th-grade teacher in providing a well-rounded education to students.
To offer individualized attention to students who may need extra help in specific subjects such as math, reading, and writing.
To create a positive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.
To provide volunteers with valuable experience in teaching, classroom management, and education.

Volunteer Activities and Shift Schedule (4th Grade Classroom)

Shift Hours:

Days: Monday to Thursday
Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Daily Activities:

Assisting with Morning Lessons (10:00 AM - 11:30 AM):
Support the teacher during whole-class instruction.
Help students with reading, writing, math, and science activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students who need additional help.
Small Group Instruction and Guided Practice (11:30 AM - 12:15 PM):
Work with students in small groups on specific tasks (e.g., math problems, reading comprehension, or writing exercises).
Reinforce lessons taught by the teacher, using different approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
Lunch Break (12:15 PM - 12:45 PM):
Volunteers will have a 30-minute lunch break. During this time, volunteers are encouraged to relax and recharge.
Afternoon Activities (12:45 PM - 1:45 PM):
Help facilitate in
