Mi experiencia en el hostel fue muy buena, desde un primer momento me sentí muy cómoda y la estadía que en un principio iba a ser de un mes terminó siendo de dos y nunca hubo ningún problema con Ezequiel para hablarlo y llevar a cabo la extensión, por el contrario él siempre con buena predisposición. Las tareas son las acordadas al igual que los horarios y los días de descanso, algunos días se trabaja más que otros pero en general los horarios están bien divididos. Conocí personas maravillosas de muchos lugares del mundo y el ambiente es realmente genial.

The hostel was such a special place and I had a great time here. The team felt like a big family. My experience was a little abnormal because I was here in the off season and it was very quiet. I taught yoga classes/managed social media/organized evening events which are all guest dependent, so there wasn't a ton to do. The weather was iffy, so I spent a lot of time at the house which is the cleanest hostel I've seen, but there wasn't heat which was a huge issue to the point I almost had to leave because it was so cold. I would definitely come back, but definitely recommend the summer!

Thanks! Nov is quite cold and the weather is low, something you can always search online before applying for other experiences. There's a lot to do on social media, but it depends on your proactivity. We give free surf lessons, bikes, surf equipment, a training room, a games room, streaming, breakfast, free pizzas every Tuesday for the team, and more. May it's possible to mention just a few of the good things. We've always been available to talk and listen. Above all, we wish you all the best :)

El hostel es un lugar muy bonito, con instalaciones cuidadas al detalle. Se nota el trabajo y el cariño que hay detrás de cada espacio. Las clases de surf son increíbles. Además, el ambiente entre los voluntarios fue muy positivo y enriquecedor, lo que sumó mucho a la experiencia general. Una muy buena oportunidad para aprender, conectar y disfrutar del entorno.

Esta fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un voluntariado en Worldpackers, inicialmente acordamos 2 meses, el primer mes fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora para mi, tuve acceso a todos los servicios acordados, incluso las clases de surf y yoga, cosa que valoro mucho, Ezequiel fue muy flexible y abierto a la comunicación, el segundo mes la situación cambio mucho desafortunadamente debido al cierre inesperado del hostel lo que implicó un cambio absoluto en lo acordado. Recomiendo mejor planeación para evitar estas cosas y mayor empatía con los voluntarios. Gracias por la oportunidad.

Debo responder a tu reseña ya que no es cierto lo que comentas, hemos cerrado al público por invierno el 01/01/2025 y tu te has marchado el día 08/01/2025. Fue informado a todos los voluntarios con un mes de anticipación y tu has decidido quedarte ya que seguimos ofreciendo todos los servicios totalmente gratis sin turnos de colaboración, como si fuera tu propia casa, jamás te echamos aunque tu colaboración haya sido muy pobre y hemos tenido empatía siempre como así lo demuestran todas reseñas!

The only problem is that it set the bar too high for a first experience! The place is really nice, modern and in a great location. Ezequiel is super organized. He took us hiking, surfing, organized dinners together, and made sure we felt comfortable during our stay. For surfing, this is the perfect place, thanks also to Dani, who is super kind and an excellent coach. You even have the option to take free lessons with him! I think that the amount of work is fair for what he offers. The overall experience was amazing, and I highly recommend it. Thank you for everything!🤙

My experience at the hostel was great! I did social media and reception. Plenty of time to do it all, and most importantly, flexibility to create content when it made sense. The free surf equipment, surf lessons and bikes, were amazing! I also enjoyed exploring Gijón, chilling at the hostel, and connecting with lots of different people. Ezequiel is a great host, and working alongside some of the nicest volunteers made it an incredible experience.

I had a great experience at the hostel, mostly thanks to my amazing fellow volunteers and kind travellers I met throughout the experience. The housekeeping position consists mainly of some minor cleaning, taking out trash, doing laundry, and making beds. You can usually get the actual work done in between 2-4 hours, depending on which shift you have. The hostel itself is very nice and comfortable, and the convenience of the free surfboard rental is tough to beat. I would recommend the experience to anyone wanting to improve their English, Spanish, or surfing.

It has been definitely a pleasant experience! The hostel is pretty and incentivises sociability between volunteers and also guests. Shifts are not hard and Ezequiel organised all the tasks in a checklist, which makes the job even easier. There are many ways to spend the free time like surfing, visiting Gijón or nearby cities, studying/working in the co-work area, spending time in the game room with other volunteers/guests (card games, table tennis, netflix). Ezequiel is open to suggestions or requests and gives a lot of autonomy, just be responsible and everything is gonna be great!

Hice voluntariado como social media manager y ayudé en la recepción de este increíble hostal de surf. Desde el primer momento, me sentí parte de una familia, rodeado de personas apasionadas por el surf y la buena onda. La energía del lugar es única: no es solo un lugar donde hospedarse, sino un espacio para conectar con otros viajeros, compartir historias y aprender juntos. El hostal está bien ubicado, cerca de la playa y de los mejores spots para surfear. Durante mi tiempo allí, tuve la oportunidad de practicar los idiomas, las redes sociales y conocí persona desde todo el mundo

Muy contento con esta experiencia. Las tareas muy sencilla. Eze es un excelente manager y se preocupa mucho por nuestro bienestar. Estaré encantado de poder repetir este voluntariado en mi próxima visita a Europa 🫶
