So happy I had a chance to volunteer here! Great staff that are easy to work with, and great volunteers also! The area is lovely with so many hiking trails around. The work was really manageable - no more than 3hrs a day (sometimes less) changing beds and cleaning rooms. It's a very relaxed vibe at the hostel, great if you're looking for somewhere to chill out!

I spent five weeks at the hostel and it was absolutely wonderful. The surrounding area is magnificent and you can go on beautiful hikes. Everyone was welcoming, it was a great experience, I highly recommander it!

At the hostel I felt at home from the first day I arrived. The atmosphere is welcoming and reassuring, the surrounding landscape is very beautiful and there are many walks you can do. The hostel is large, the volunteers have plenty of space available to them and the staff is incredible! I am truly happy to have lived this wonderful experience and to have shared lovely moments with the other volunteers. Thank you for everything :)

The time I spent in the hostel was absolutely unforgettable! You absolutely lose the sense of time when you are here, there's always something to do. The surrounding area is really beautiful, and there are many hikes to do. The worst thing is that the closest big supermarket is 35 minutes away by bus, and so you spend all afternoon going back and forth because there aren't a lot of buses either (although ordering online is also a possibility, which is nice to know :)). All the staff here have made me feel at home since the first day! Thanks for everything<3 Wish you all the best!

My experience was extremely positive in every aspect! Eugenio and the team that takes care of the volunteers are incredible — always attentive and genuinely concerned about our well-being. They really make sure the volunteering experience is amazing and meaningful. The region is absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to disconnect from the chaos of big cities and enjoy nature. I felt welcomed from the first day, learned a lot, and met wonderful people along the way. I truly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a peaceful, rewarding, and authentic stay.

Staying in the hostel was a truly amazing experience. Eugenio and his team are super welcoming, encouraging and always accommodating. The work is simply and easy. Everyday there is a new hike to explore and work hours ensure you've got plenty of time for the remainder of day. You will meet many amazing people and become part of an truly special team.

My first experience volunteering through Worldpackers, and honestly I couldn't be more grateful to the hostel, its manager, the reception staff, and the other volunteers. I will definitely be back! The work itself only required a few hours, and personally I had never worked in a hostel doing cleaning/housekeeping before, but adapting was easy, as long as you work as a team. The area where the hostel is located is one of the most beautiful in Ireland, in terms of natural scenery. The atmosphere with the other volunteers was fantastic. In short, It felt like a home

The hostel is such a safe and peaceful place! The location is unmatched: you are completely surrounded by nature and there are endless hiking opportunities. There is a tiny village about 25 min from here with a pub and a small shop to buy food, or you can order on Tesco online to deliver directly at the hostel. The hostel is huge but the work is easy and working hours are respected. Eugenio, the manager, is super friendly and easy going and ready to step in to solve any issue. There is a female dorm (8 beds) and a male dorm (6 beds), and a separate kitchen for the staff. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel. To me this is an great example of everything that volunteering is about .The work was always respected and well explained, the facilities are good, and the area is spectacularly beautiful! Seeing is believing. I met incredible people during my stay, including volunteers, locals, and staff. I was treated well and received with respect from my first minute. A big hug and a special thank you to Eugenio, Aimee and Matt. You guys are awesome.

I spent 3 weeks here, and my experience was amazing. The housekeeping is pretty simple. Eugenio and his team are very welcoming and warm. The place is perfectly located for hiking or swimming in the lake. I recommend it 100%.
