Had a great time and experience with Andrew and his family. Met a lot of new people, travelers, learnt new things and worked on making the place better while having a lot of time for myself and my duties. Providing different type of help made it even better experience.

The house is amazingly located in the Soča river valley. I spent a lovely week there helping Andrew design his home garden. The atmosphere in the house allows you to fully relax surrounded by nature, go on hikes directly from the house and enjoy pleasant evenings on the terrace. I recommend it to anyone who wants to seek peace, spend time with inspiring people and experience life in a loved commune

Would love it if you come back and we design another area off the garden one day.. you transformed my ideas and boosted them in a an amazing direction. And it give everyone a clear idea what I'm try to achieve with the patio area. Which it inspire me to get back amd learn sketch up once again.. thank you again and wish you all the best in a great career.

I had a wonderful time volunteering at Andrew's place in the beautiful Soča Valley. The tasks consisted mainly of gardening, painting or helping out around the house. All made enjoyable since it's in a relaxed environment and Andrew is super knowledgeable and passionate and gladly shares his tips and tricks with you. Work was only around 3 hours a day so gave plenty of time to explore the nature in the area or relax by the river. I highly recommend this volunteer experience if you want to explore beautiful nature, learn about house restoration, sustainable living and feel part of the family.

The family was very lovely with an amazing home. The host was very flexible, adaptable and managed to organize only a short stay for us, as we didn't have so much time. They had a very sweet child. The work in the garden was hard, but also fun. We were able to use the kitchen as we needed.

I absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who loves the nature and wants to feel a part of a cozy family. We worked about 3 hours a day, and the tasks were very simple. I learned painting, woodworking with power machines, and also gardening. Andrew was respectful of the work hours and I didn't even feel like I worked at all. I got breakfast, lunch and dinner all delicious and on time consistently. There're many easy hikes and I swam in the Soca river in sunny days. I really want to come back. I also liked that they are environmentally conscious, I learned to do compost and more!!!

Lovely time by the river, perfect for the outdoor lovers. I enjoyed so much cooking for everyone and I am super thankful for the hospitality guys! I surely recommend this experience.

What an experience! I met such amazing people here. Andrew was really nice host, very respectful with everything agreed beforehand. I had a chance to meet 4 other volunteers here, such amazing travellers that I spent most of the time with. We worked 3h per day, from 9am to midday. Then we had the rest of the day to enjoy the surroundings. The lodge is perfect located close to Soca River, where we could go for a swim every sunny day. There's plenty of hikes to do around, nice mountains, waterfalls. We camped on the top of the mountains on the weekend. As we have it free. Highly recommend!!!!
