I had such a great experience at the hostel Khao San! Truly the best first Worldpackers experience I could have asked for. The free food is incredible, the location is SO convenient for exploring Bangkok, the work itself is really fun and the whole team and other volunteers were amazing. Thanks so much Jen and Cream for a great stay.

I had such an amazing and fun time. The staff were all very lovely and caring. The hours can be long, if you have work or school, it might be hard to juggle it all, but if you do not, it shouldn't be a problem. The food was very good and I overall really enjoyed the experience.

I loved this place. From the first moment we arrived, Jen was very kind to us, the staff was very friendly, and so was the entire the hostel staff. I had the opportunity to make friends from all over the world. I would come back here again. I recommend it for a fun and festive time. Plus, you can take advantage of the opportunity to explore the city; there are so many places to see that you'll wish you could stay longer than you planned.

Everybody is very friendly here! Many staff are Thai and the other volunteers from different countries so it was nice making friends with them! The work is fun if you like talking to people, which I do so I had a great time! Everybody explained everything when I arrived and they were always there to help when I felt confused in my first few days since this was my first volunteer as a party promoter :))

Jen and the entire staff of the hostel Khao Son were awesome. The job wasn't what I thought it would be going into it but Jen, the manager, immediately saw this in me and we worked it out perfectly. I recommend this place to anyone looking to live in an extremely central place in Bangkok and/or who likes to party, drink and be social. Thank you Jen and Su, and Vincent, Millie, and Connor for making my time so special.

I had such a fun time at this hostel! I met so many amazing people (travellers and staff) that i'm still in contact with and I loved the atmosphere in the hostel and the open and fun staff. I was traveling through south east asia before I got the hostel and this was one of my favorite hostels throughout the whole trip!! Thank you for everything and hope to see you soon!

I had such a wonderful experience I am so grateful to Jen and all of the wonderful staff at the hostel for making it my home away from home while I was there. I loved my bed - the room was so clean and comfortable, and the hostel itself is such a lovely place - it's decorated beautifully and there are games everyday and the location is amazing! I am so grateful I got to have my first volunteer experience here, I can't recommend this place enough💖

I didn't feel welcomed or included during my stay. There was no communication from the host when I arrived, and I had to figure out my tasks alone. A volunteer gave vague, disrespectful instructions, and I later learned I was expected to manage social media and party-promoting, leading to extra hours. After I became sick, the host suddenly ended my placement via WhatsApp and asked me to leave. The cold showers and strong AC didn't help. So, I didn't feel supported or treated fairly.

I clearly explained your tasks and expectations before approving your application, and we discussed them again after your arrival. There was no confusion about your role.
You did not meet these expectations, and you were not able to work more than a week for being sick—working only a few days in total—yet you still expected full benefits and privileges.
If you had truly been treated unfairly, I would have asked you to leave immediately. Instead, I waited and gave you time to feel better.
