I had an absolutely amazing experience volunteering to teach French at TLC. I was quite unsure what to expect at first but ended up diving into local culture, surrounded by such lovely, friendly and kind students. We really developed a real bond and I truly believe that, even though I was there to teach, I learnt so much from them during the two weeks I spent with the students. This experience really surpassed all of my expectations and I walked away with a full heart and lots of stories to tell.

I had an intense experience! The students teach you a lot about their life and are able to communicate a lot with you, they're really willing to learn more about english and french languages. I stayed for two weeks and was able to learn a lot about the culture. I even got invited at some ceremonies and could really be immersed in the Balinese traditions.

I would highly recommend this experience in Bangli for any backpacker. In the two weeks I was there I learnt more about Balinese culture than the entire month of travelling Bali before this. When they say it is an 'immersive experience' they are speaking the truth. You spend your time with the students who show you the most beautiful areas of Bangli & surroundings , void of tourists. You eat the local food , which is always an interesting experience, be that good or bad! And you get to live & experience life in the community. All in all, an eye opening experience. Thanks for having me!

I had a very good experience with Ms. Putu's students! I only stayed a few days with them, so I guess the experience is even stronger if you stay longer. Everyone is really caring and tries their best to show you the good spots around Bangli and singaraja! The students are very dedicated and Mrs Putu makes sure that the students are always with you! In terms of comfort, it's a simple accommodation but it's ok!

I simply lived a great experience in Bangli since day 1 with the students. The type of travel is very different from anything I've ever experienced, I had a blast with the immersion in another culture and with people so interested in sharing, kind and open. The routine is to go out with students and practice English with them, share the day, eat together, and explore the places. The exchange is so wonderful with local people that no money in the world can pay that. I'm very grateful for everything that we lived together and for finding such a special place in the world!

Hey guys this experience literally change my life . Living and sharing moments with the students was very gratifying. It reminded me of my younger self full of ranges to learn and get ahead. It was the best experience ever! I truly enjoyed connecting with local people, students and neighbors. I am deeply amazed by Balinese traditions and kindness. Everybody was very welcoming, friendly and so nice. Students were focused and attentive, progressing a lot. After class we had various activities, students gave super ideas on pastimes and always helped to carry them out. These were the most eventful 2weeks of my life. I would love to come back again. Thanks so much, wonderful host!

This experience was amazing!! You truly get to connect with local people from Bali, the students took me to their local village and let me stay with them, eat their food and go in a range of adventures! Mrs Putu is always trying to help you out and make your experience the best it can be. I made so many memories and friendships that I know will last a life time. My recommendation to volunteers is to know what you want to do in each area because each day you will be asked 'what do you want to do today?' and the students will take you anywhere you want to go!

We cannot plan for them, different volunteers, different points of interest, we let them handle with the students but you are right, the students do not know too much about what to do. I absolutely loved my stay and the time I spent with the students. They are do lovely and caring, they did everything for me to feel confortable. Thanks to them I've been visiting incredible places and had so much fun! They are amazing students to teach and I'm gonna miss them a lot. Thanks also to Stephane and Putu who welcomed me and made me feel at home since the first day I arrived. I would definitively recommend this experience!
