This was my first WP-experience and I had such a good time at Nico's! The work is mainly outdoors and at times a bit hard as we are building stone walls and painting etc but it's a rewarding job as you get to see results right away. The beach is a 10-15min bike ride away which is wonderful after a hot workday. He and his neighbours welcomed me with open arms and often took me to see nearby towns or just local sightseeing, and fruitmarkets on weekends. I used my weekends off to travel around beautiful puglia! Will miss the community he has built and also the kittens.

This was my first volunteering experience and I can recommend it very much! You get to choose your working hours (we worked in the morning to have the rest of the day off and go to the beach) and your days off.The vibe was totally chill and Nicola is a very "go with the flow" type of person, so the work depended on the weather that day. Nicola cooked us delicious meals and took us to markets so we could buy groceries for ourselfs. One night we cooked for Nicola and his friends by making traditional dishes from our homecountry, it was such a great atmosphere, making jokes and a lot of laughing!
