I couldn't be happier with this first volunteering experience! From the very beginning, you can feel Duong, Mie and Quynh's eagerness to teach and improve things at the school. I felt very comfortable with them as well as with the other volunteers. The space is welcoming and the food is delicious! On top of that, we had the chance to learn a bit of Vietnamese and dive into their culture. The conversations, the classes, and the children's endless energy made this experience truly unique and very special.

Sean, Mie and Quynh were amazing hosts! I felt welcomed into their home, had great conversations and lots of fun. I also had the opportunity to meet incredible international travellers. The work is varied and interesting. The teaching is fun, creative and engaging - how all education should be! The classes were rewarding and the children were really sweet and eager to learn. Sean immersed us into his life the school with fun excursions to the national park and local restaurants. We even went to his niece's birthday party! Could not have dreamt of a better first Worldpackers experience!

My experience the school was great. I got to explore around the countryside, meet locals, and do local activities such as hiking up the school mountain, play soccer with students, and enjoy swimming in a lake. Mie, Sean, and Quynh are all kind and respectful people who can enhance your stay in Vietnam. I think it should be understood that this opportunity is in an area where it is around 1h30m to the city of Hanoi, so someone who applies here should be focused about seeing Hanoi's surrounding countryside rather than the bustling city given the hours you are meant to work. Otherwise, great experience!

My time at the school was short but incredibly sweet. Mie, Sean, and Quynh are doing amazing work with the children, who are all so respectful and eager to learn. Their home is beautiful, and they go out of their way to make you feel like part of the team/family. They work very hard and things can be busy at the moment, so be up for going with the flow. I 100% recommend this opportunity, it's truly memorable & meaningful. Thank you for having me!

Everything here has been wonderful. Firstly, spending time with Sean, Mie, Quynh, Van, and Tran felt like being with both friends and family. We've shared our stories and values, and even though they're busy, they took time to show me the local food and culture. While talking with them, I truly believe they genuinely want to contribute to helping the local kids learn English. The children here were also very friendly and eager to interact with me. As I shared about my country's culture, they actively engaged. Although I've been here for less than a month, I've gained so much!

My stay the school was nothing short of perfect. Sean, Mie and Quynh made me feel so welcomed from the moment I entered the house. The home you stay in is beautiful and is a really cozy environment to work and live in. They really care about the work they put in to benefit these children and it is beautiful to be apart of the team and see the impact. Saying goodbye to all the kids was the hardest part. the school is beautiful and you really get to experience all parts of local Vietnamese culture. This was my first WorldPackers experience and it has set the bar SO HIGH! I hope to be back soon :)

I absolutely loved staying the school with the whole team! They really welcome you and treat you like family. They are the kindest people and what they do with the kids is amazing. They really care about the work they put in to teach the kids and it was an honor to be apart of it. The kids were so sweet and so smart & I really do miss them! I would definitely recommend this opportunity to anyone! This place exceeded my expectations. Thank you guys for everything and for all the great laughs!

I absolutely would recommend this experience! What a lovely team that run the school, and the students are sweet and want to learn. The house itself is unreal and it is in a lovely part of rural Vietnam where all the locals wave and the kids say hi! Thank you so much for having me, I had a great time and gained some experience teaching and learning from others 🥰

Where do I even start? The month I spent the school was my favourite month of travelling. The warmth and love I felt from the community were strong and one I will never forget 🥹. The kids were amazing and engaged during every class, and it broke my heart to leave, but I know I will be back someday! You get the opportunity to really immerse yourself in the culture which is something I will always be grateful for. The peace and comfort I got from living the school is unmatched. ❤️

Thank you Sean, Mie, Quynh and Bing for such amazing experience. Thank you for showing me local culture, food, teaching Vietnamese and taking me to Ha Giang Loop. Special thanks to Chi Mai for cooking delicious food. I enjoyed staying with you and working with kids. For those who consider applying for this project, my main tasks were: Practicing English with kids, doing slides about my country and doing videos for social media. What they are doing is really valuable. So please treat this place with respect. This experience has been truly memorable and I'm grateful for the connections made.
