Carleigh, Colin and the family are very welcoming and really make you feel like part of the family. Food is excellent (must be a meat eater)! The work chores vary from horse feeding and field cleaning, to firewood chopping, weed picking, and fence building. You are likely to work over the hours stated. The family try to take you on nice hikes and trips, which are great fun. The kids are homeschooled, so are around all the time. Overall I had a great time and felt that the more I put in the more I got out. Thanks everyone so much!

Thank you so much for everything! This was my first Worldpackers Experience and I couldn't imagine a better place to go. I learned so many things and met amazing people from all over the world. The time I spend at the farm will always have a special place in my heart. The Hostfamily is super welcoming and always makes sure that you are alright. The work was not always easy, but indeed rewarding. If you like being outside, learning new skills and adventure this is the right place for you. And yes, the food is amazing :)

I was on the farm for 4 weeks, and had a wonderful time! Carleigh is so sweet and tried so much to do things with the volunteers like hiking, going on the lake with the boat or other trips. She really tried to make it an unforgettable time for me, altough she is working hard every day.. i appreciate that very much! Colin did most of the dinner cooking, which was always very good :) The Jensans live a very rural the farm life, which is exactly the experience i was looking for. Do your work trustworthy and respect their home and way of living, and they will make you an unforgettable experience!

My time at the farm was unforgettable. Carleigh, Colin and the kids made me feel right at home, and I got to learn so much about horses and the farm life. You get to do all sorts of work like fencing, woodcutting, or horse care. It can be a lot of work but it was incredibly rewarding. They also gave us the opportunity to do fun activities such as boats trips on the lake, karaoke every Wednesday, and lookout visits, plus the food was amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I'm already hoping to come back one day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Miss you all already xx

Carleigh, Colin and the kids are very welcoming and they do their best to make you feel like home. We did a lot of fun things and time went by way to fast, I enjoyed every second! They have the sweetest animals, I miss them a lot! For those who like to work and are motivated to learn a lot about the farm life and horses will find great opportunities! I had the best experience I could wish for and wouldn't change anything, only staying longer! ;) Thank you so much Carleigh, Colin and the kids for all the beautiful experiences, lessons and memories, I had the best time! I couldn't have wished for anything more. From the moment I arrived the whole family was so welcoming and by the time I left it felt like a second home. Carleigh and Colin are super open and go out of their ways to make your stay fun by taking you to regular karaoke nights, boating, hiking and other family adventures. Working is fun if you are aware of what it takes to care for animals and work on a the farm. Motivation, a good mindset and eagerness to learn will definitely be noticed and will bring opportunities that make your experience even more incredible. Thank you for everything <3

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. Coming from almost no horse background, I couldn't have imagined the thing I get to do and learn on horseback and off while I was here. Carleigh and Colin are very caring and loving host who try very hard to include everyone who comes here into the family and are supportive in every aspect you can think of. The company here I always good, the food is even better and I would never change one day for the world. If you are willing to pull your weight, there is no limit to what you can receive in return for them. Thank you Carleigh, Colin & Kids !!!

We felt like part of the family straight away! This was an amazing experience, we have made new friends for life and learnt a lot of useful new skills! Working with the horses was a dream come true and Carleigh really took the time to teach us about handling, saddling, groundwork and much more! We were very sad to leave at the end of our trip and hope to return in the future. The food, especially the desserts are top notch too!!

We loved our stay here so much, that we didn't even leave yet. Carleigh & Colin are great, welcoming hosts and the two kids are super energetic, but so lovely! You will come to feel like part of the family really fast! We enjoyed the yummy food and got to try tasty bison, bear and moose. Only for meat (and cheese) lovers! :D The conditions are very fair, you get to work a lot independently and can take your days off when you want. With horse chores you're more on a schedule. Be prepared to work physically and in every weather! Loved our time here & if we never decide to leave see you then!

The family is very welcoming, and you'll quickly feel like part of it. Since the accommodation is on the smaller side, only pack the essentials. Meat lovers will devour Colin's dinners! If you're interested in young horse training, this is the perfect place. There isn't much to do outside the farm, but Wednesday karaoke nights with the team are lots of fun. Volunteers working with horses usually have longer hours than those helping around the farm. We're very grateful for the unforgettable time on the farm and wish Carleigh, Colin, and the kids all the best!
