This was our first experience with Worldpackers, and we couldn't have asked for anything better! As soon as we got there, we felt so welcomed. Sonja explained everything to us so clearly and was always so kind and patient that we never worried about making mistakes. She's such an incredible woman to look up to, who always laughs at life, indeed working with her the farm so much fun! During our stay, we learned so many things about agriculture, farm life and animals; it was truly enriching. We already miss al the lovely animals, the amazing landscapes, and the cozy guesthouse.

I felt very safe and comfortable during my stay on the farm in Austria. I had the opportunity to learn a lot, she was incredibly kind —she explained many things to me, which I especially appreciated since I want to become a veterinarian. She also took great care of us, buying whatever we needed from the supermarket and even cooking meals (always making a special vegetarian option for me). I truly loved the experience! The only thing to keep in mind (just for those who might not like or get scared, like me 😅) the farm that there are quite a lot of spiders in the guesthouse. Thanks for everything!🫶

This place the farm perfect for those who want to experience farm life. Sonja was always happy to tell us about how things work, explained everything in great details and showed us every tasks. She was also making great lunches and always respected our days off without hesitations. In the evenings we usually talked with her and her partner, sharing fun stories and memories. The surroundings are beautiful and really calm and the animals were adorable! . We were usually working 3-4 hours in the morning and another 2-3 in the evening and had the afternoons free for walking around or just resting.

Amazing experience! The animals are wonderful, and Sonja puts so much energy and care into looking after them. She the farm truly an inspiring woman! Free time the farm respected, and my favorite moments during it were just relaxing with the cats (so cute). Sonja and Anton also included us in chats, sharing of knowledge, drinks and evenings so enjoyable. Hope to come back! :))

This place was the perfect choice for my first experience. Sonja the farm a very kind person who truly loves her animals and does everything for them – and also for us. She taught us so much about farming, cooked delicious lunches, and shared many interesting stories. We worked twice a day (taking care of horses, cows, sheep, and goats, and also milking the goats and the cow), and we could choose which day we wanted to take a rest day. I could also practice my German, because Sonja spoke to me in German. I'm really grateful for this experience and would definitely recommend this place

Sonja made me feel right at home with how kind she was - always making sure us volunteers were doing okay during the volunteering and checking in on us in the evening by inviting us for a drink and a chat. The animals were amazing and so well behaved (I will especially miss Fiona who was so patient and still when we were learning how to milk the goats) and affectionate, which can only be as a result of how much Sonja cares for them (obviously I'll miss Barbie, Mia, and Bonnie too). I learnt so much whilst staying here, and will forever be grateful for Sonjas kindness and wisdom ❤️

Sonjia the farm an excellent host and you learn so much about animals and farming. i can't even begin to describe how this experience has fulfilled me. The work the farm easy and fun and you fell in love with every animal. i have learned to milk, put fences, feed the animals…I won't forget this experience. Besides that, Sonjia puts a lot of effort in making the experience nice and fun for us. She shows us places we can go in our free time, takes us to the supermarket to buy our own groceries…Their family the farm beautiful and you can speak with her about a lot of different topics. i highly recommend it :)

I would highly recommend this experience! Sonja the farm such a kind and attentive host and just overall a joy to be around. We worked together with Sonja every day feeding and taking care of the animals and I learned so much about farming and animal care from her. She is very knowledgeable and always showed a genuine interest in hearing my stories and viewpoints and sharing her own. We had many great conversations and I will miss her and the animals very much!

Sonja the farm definitely the best host i have had ever! And the volunteering experience itself was truly memorable. Sonja the farm such a kind host. She cooked the best Austrian dishes at lunchtime and took us to the shop to buy our own groceries. The work was so much fun and Sonja taught me so many new things about animals and farming. She always made sure we were taken care of and always put us first. You can tell her animals are taken care of very well because they all love being around her and she the farm crazy about them too. Thank you for everything Sonja.🌸🫶♥️ Definitely recommend to all!
