I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. The hostel has a relaxed and friendly vibe and the work is super easy, about five hours a day with lots of free time to explore. Ana is amazing, always kind and ready to help with anything. The town feels very safe, everything is close by and there are some free things to do around, but if you plan to stay for a longer time you should know that there aren't a lot of things to do without paying a lot of money. Knowing some basic Spanish definitely makes it easier to connect with locals. Totally recommend the experience!

A experiência foi legal. A anfitriã Ana era super solícita e respondia as dúvidas sempre com atenção. As atividades dos turnos eram simples e é possível praticar bastante inglês e espanhol pois vem hóspedes de todos os lugares. A cachorrinha Mila é uma querida, ela alegrava meus dias.

I had a wonderful time here! Ana was incredibly helpful in suggesting local activities and always responded quickly to any questions I had. The reception tasks were straightforward and clearly explained. Volunteers get great discounts on many local tours, which was a huge plus. The hostel itself was peaceful, with a lovely outdoor area and comfortable common spaces. The town felt very safe, and everything from cafes and restaurants to grocery stores is within walking distance. I felt at home right away. Overall, I highly recommend this volunteer experience to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel! It's a quiet, calm oasis. Ana is an excellent host, responsive and flexible. She gave me a full schedule for the month upfront, but was always open to adjusting when needed. The hostel is in a great, central location. The town feels safe, and everything I needed was walking distance, including groceries, gym, tour companies, etc. That said, the tour discounts for volunteers were by far the best in terms of cost and value! And as a newer yoga teacher, I really valued the small class sizes (1-4). I also had plenty of time to remote work.

El hostel es súper lindo y organizado. Ana es increíble! Super buena onda y sociable desde el día 1. Los días son súper tranquilos, las tareas son fáciles y se respetan siempre las 5h de trabajo. La fortuna es súper lindo y chiquito! Además hay muchísimas actividades! Fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y la pasé súper bien! Súper recomendado!

Muy buena experiencia! La habitación de las voluntarias es cómoda. El hostel está bien equipado, céntrico y confortable. Las tareas de recepción son sencillas y la anfitriona además de ser muy agradable con nosotras, siempre ha estado disponible para ayudarnos y coordinar el trabajo. Lo recomiendo 100%. Mi experiencia en el hostel fue hermosa! Ana ha sido de las mejores host que he tenido (compartiendo mates y charlas) y siempre disponible a todo lo referente con el hostel o cualquier cosa que necesiten los voluntarios y/o huéspedes. La Fortuna es un pueblo muy bonito y el turno te permite disfrutar de todas las cosas que quieras hacer, desde tours hasta mañanas de relajo en el río. Súper agradecida!

Hermosa experiencia. Ana es lo más! Super simpática, predispuesta y paciente. Haciendo alusión al nombre, hay una the hostel muy linda. La tarea es muy simple, hay días muy tranquilos, otros que hay más gente, pero siempre se respetan las 5 hs de trabajo. El lugar es cómodo y limpio, los voluntarios tienen su propio cuarto, con baño compartido. Super recomiendo la esperiencia!

El hostel fue mi primer voluntariado y fue una grata experiencia. Las tareas a realizar fueron simples, resolvieron todas mis dudas y se respetó siempre el horario acordado. El hostal es muy bonito, y al estar en recepción tuve la oportunidad de hablar y generar conexiones con algunos de los huéspedes, lo cual estuvo súper, porque era de mis principales objetivos. el hostel vida!
