Dettagli del programma

Once the volunteers arrive, they'll have a few days to rest and to adapt. Then, they'll watch our full-time teachers in action to see what they need to do in class. Mainly, they need to be active, energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly. Singing songs following a video and playing games with flashcards are the main activities during a class. The children are usually from 4 years old up to 12 years old. We provide a scooter so the volunteers can use it to go teach at the different schools and to travel during their free time. Don't worry if you never drove one, we'll teach you!

Apart from the motorbike, we provide FREE accommodation, lunch, and dinner. The room can be private or shared with bunkbeds depending on the number of volunteers staying with us (only after 4 volunteers staying at the same time you will need to share a room, otherwise, it will be private). All rooms have an Air Conditioner.

We are located near Hanoi's airport, and only 30 minutes away from Hanoi's city center.

Attività e turni

Volunteers will have plenty of free time. Usually, per week they need to do around 12 to 16 hours. Some days might be only 1.5 or 2 hours of work, others maybe 3 or 4 hours. If the volunteer wishes to take a week or some days off, that's ok, just needs to tell us a week before.

Volunteers must stay a minimum of 4 weeks and can stay as long as they want. Also, for example, they can even work 4 or 6 weeks, then go travel for 1 or 2 weeks and come back again to continue working. We can recommend great places to go visit and enjoy!

Finally, after 2 months, depending on the performance of the volunteer, they can be paid for their work. In addition, they can even be hired as a full-time teacher (having a bachelor's degree in any major is necessary to be hired as a full-time teacher) if they are interested and if they become good teachers during the 2 months.

Regole

The main rule is regarding the dress code. When teaching, the volunteers always need to wear trousers, for example, jeans are fine. The top will be our polo shirt. No shorts or skirts are allowed when teaching. Also, volunteers should not go to the schools wearing flip-flops. Other rules are no smoking or drinking alcohol at the schools.
