Position: Kitchen Support

Duration:

Minimum stay: 1 month
Maximum stay: 2 months

Work Schedule:

6 days per week: 4 hours per day

Language Requirement:
English or Spanish for communication with the staff.

Responsibilities:

Assist the chef in meal preparation using fresh, local ingredients
Serve meals to our guests with a smile and a warm welcome
Maintain cleanliness by washing and cleaning dishes after meals
Keep the kitchen and outdoor dining area tidy and organized

Mealtimes:
Breakfast and dinner.

Regole

Please note that the Surfcamp only serves traditional and vegetarian meals. Any dietary restrictions of the volunteer must be managed by the volunteer themselves. Due to the island's isolation, there are small supermarkets with some products, but they have a limited selection of specific items for dietary restrictions. The same applies to medication; the volunteer should bring their own medication to prepare for any situation that might arise. It is important to research where Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo and the island of São Jorge are located to understand the location and all these conditions. In the day off, the meals are outside the camp.
