I had an amazing stay! Everyone is really welcoming and the work is super easy. The managers are nice and always happy to help and the town is beautiful. You can spend your days at the beach, go surfing or explore the beautiful nature and hidden beaches with the beautiful people you'll meet here.

Absolutely a wonderful experience! Everyone is incredibly welcoming and Agnes Water is definitely a hidden gem— beautiful beaches, walking paths, tons of gorgeous wildlife (kangaroos and parrots) around! The tasks are all very simple and for only two hours a day there's tons of free time which was lovely. Only downsides are na/C, limited outlets (only a few by the door), and no Wi-Fi in the staff room, only in the common spaces. Overall I would definitely recommend volunteering here as the hostel and town as a whole has such a cozy, comfy vibe, and everyone is so friendly.

I spent 2 months working at Backpackers @ 1770 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The hostel has a certain kind of energy that draws in the best people and makes you want to stay forever. The work is easy, the staff is so fun (they will become your best friends), and you'll never have trouble finding things to do. The hostel dog Duke, aka The Duke of Agnes, is so sweet and great at opening coconuts. Backpackers @ 1770 is a 3-minute walk to the beach (with some really fun surf), a 5-minute walk to FoodWorks, and a 0-minute walk to one of the best places in Australia.

I had such a great time at the hostel! The managers and other volunteers were super welcoming and made me feel right at home and the hostel itself is really cute and cozy. It's 2 hours of work a day which is super reasonable and you have lots of time to go for a surf or explore Agnes and all the beautiful beaches nearby. I got to meet so many amazing people here, can't wait to come back some day❤️

So glad I spent a month in Agnes at this amazing hostel!! Loved spending time getting to know the group of other volunteers, managers and all the lovely guests that roll through the hostel. The hostel feels warm, welcoming and friendly + I've met lovely people there. The work is simple and so reasonable, only two hours in the morning so you have the whole day to yourself to do whatever you want. If I could stay longer I would but I'm still happy I had my month in a beautiful beach town making loads of new friends. Hopefully I'll be back some time :))

The hostel is the best place ever!!! Truly felt like my home away from home. The staff becomes a family and you will never want to leave! The hours are super chill and they have a variety of different jobs available. The managers Fiona and Robbie keep the perfect balance of manager/friend relationship with all the volunteers and make working under them fun! The town of agnes is small but perfect for people looking for a relaxing stay and loads of time at the beach. Can't wait to be back in Agnes. I miss it already ❤️

What an absolutely amazing experience. And to think we almost didn't go. Wouldn't imagine my life without the experience, fantastic people and amazing atmosphere. The work is easy and fair, so I feel you get a lot for the deal! Will not be the last time I go to Agnes, as it will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y la verdad que ha sido espectacular. Estuve a cargo de la cocina y estuvo muy divertido. Mis compañeros del staff son lo máximo! Su compañía me ayudo mucho ya que es mi primer gran viaje sola. También al estar en un hostel te permite conocer gente nueva todo el tiempo, vivir nuevas experiencias, conocer el mundo a través de ellos! El hostel en sí ya es muy bonito, rodeado de naturaleza, a minutos de la playa, instalaciones cómodas, pero la onda de la gente es lo que lo convierte en un hostel 5 estrellas. Súper recomendable!!!
