The staff are the best, there is such a fun and supportive community there! It's really cool meeting lots of locals at the parties and creating connections with people. Fair warning you won't do any bartending and it's hard not to get burnt out with only one day off per week. If you're already a nocturnal person, this is a great job for you and you won't miss out on the nightlife in the Lima if you decide to go out after work.

The volunteering at the hostel was a really cool experience and a lot of fun! The parties are great, especially on the weekends. The rooms and the provided breakfast and lunch are really good. The daily hours were always respected. The team of the hostel (Bar, reception, kitchen, cleaning, ... (Little exception: the responsible person of the bar)) is amazing!

This place is fantastic! If you are energetic, party-loving and a late sleeper: this volunteering is for you! You make a lot of close friends and the staff is very friendly. However, the work required on WorldPacker is not exactly the work you will be doing. You will have to da lot more "entertaining" than bartending, in a very noisy environment (beware for sensitive ears). But otherwise, everything was perfect! Can't wait to go back!

Mi experiencia fue divertida, el trabajo con los otros voluntarios fue muy agradable. Sin embargo, acorté mi estancia porque los líderes del equipo no eran acogedores y la comunicación con ellos era difícil. Las tareas solicitadas no se alineaban con mis valores.

Foi minha primeira experiência com voluntariado, fui bem recebida pela equipe, a comida era excelente e o time de voluntariados era sensacional. Estava fazendo o turno da noite nas festas e em conjunto com a mudança de clima fiquei bem doente e acabei indo embora. Maicol chegou a me dar a opção de mudar o turno para me recuperar mas achei melhor descansar para seguir para o próximo voluntariado. Foram super compreensíveis e entenderam meu lado. Para quem gosta de festas e da vida noturna é uma boa experiência para se fazer amizades.

I loved my time at the hostel in the hostel! All of the staff were so friendly and kind, and before I knew it I had a family of the hostel locals and staff that it was difficult to leave. I learned how to bartend and this was incredible for my Spanish. Couple of things to look out for, the dorms are shared with the other volunteers so privacy is a little difficult, and the hours are 10pm-3am which both aren't for everyone. Would absolutely recommend:)
