The overall experience was great! There were a few language barriers here and there, but everyone in charge was really kind and welcoming. The breakfasts (arguably my favorite part of the day) were delicious, and I honestly wish I could've stayed a bit longer.

I had a great time at the hostel. The shifts are easy-going and the tasks are pretty logical, nothing out of this world. The hostel has ammenities like a "Cinema" in the basement and a working space in the third floor, so you can enjoy them after your shift, sharing experiences with the other guests or volunteers. The most of the guests are 'living' there, so, it was easy to connect with them. Belgrade is a nice city. The sunsets views from Kamelegdan are outstanding. The public transport is free of charge, and the prices at the supermarket are really cheap. A big thanks to my hosts!! 🙌

It was a good experience, even though I had a hard time,Both the staff and the Dima was always there for me, he was a disciplined and very good person, It's a very pleasant place where you have the chance to meet people from all over the world. As for the work, it's simple and not too demanding, and the assigned hours are always respected.Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. I hope to come back soon and see you again.vhala(spasibo:)

Incredible hostel, beautiful place. My experience there was one of the best I've ever had. Thanks to Dimitri for letting me be a part of the hostel. I should point out that the hostel's breakfasts are some of the best I've ever had. Thank you so much for everything! They're the best! I'll be back someday! Спасибо!!!!

The hostel was conflicting. The city of Belgrade is okay and the experience is not bad at all, but is not great either. Communication online was great, settting expectations beforehand, they even agree to keep my dates which I'm grateful for. On site is we're things get complicated, is a tug of war on expectations one day you're doing to little on your tasks the other your doing great. "You better know how to do this task, even tho I've not explained to you how to do it properly and if you make a mistake I'm gonna shame you for it, if you do it correctly great here's a cookie!"

I had a great time at the hostel! The vibe is nice, the place is clean with a great location. Volunteers have their own room, which helps you disconnect after shifts. Breakfast is amazing (my fav part of the day ❤️) There are two shifts: morning (9 am - 3 pm), which is busier with check-outs, and afternoon (6 pm - 12 am), which is more relaxed (you have time for your meals during the shifts ;) ).Dima, the host, is super fun but very detail-oriented, so you must stay on top of tasks. Iliana, the receptionist, is super friendly 😊 Ps: Write me if you want to know more about my experience ❤

The hostel's structure, cleanliness, and organization are impeccable, truly five-star. Breakfast for volunteers is plentiful and delicious, and the accommodation is cozy. However, the manager, Dima, runs everything with an iron hand; when things go off track, he raises his voice easily, creating unnecessary tension for volunteers and guests. A human-relations course would help. he is intelligent and hardworking, I know he is capable of improving. The work schedule is 6x1, like a CLT in Brasil. I wish the new volunteers and host success.

We understand that Dima may seem harsh to u at times, though u know there was never ill intent or disrespect. We care about our volunteers.
Sad that instead of sharing concerns with us (ironic, given your course suggestion), u chose to lie: about your experience at the hostel, reasons for leaving, promising a good testimonial.
Sure, u wanted to secure good feedback for yourself. That doesn’t change what it says about u. Honesty and open communication go both ways, we hope u’ll reflect on that.

I have so much to tell, It doesn't fit in 600 characters. Totally disrespectful person. Aggressive, screaming with guests, and staff. Made all the volunteers feel uncomfortable. Doesn't know how to treat guests, kicked out at least 5 people the first week X no reason, it's rude with every Asian people he met. I have witnesses he said really uncomfortable comments to me. Talking about my legs when I was wearing shorts, also telling me I could change my clothes in front of them (him and another girl that works with him), I was taking my clothes to change in the bathroom. Really sad experiences

We receive chiefly positive reviews from volunteers and guests from all backgrounds. We evicted one guest for getting violent.
Adrian said he enjoyed working with our manager (the one he’s now attacking), never mentioned these accusations.
It seems he reinterpreted neutral interactions, possibly seeing we’re an LGBTQ+ inclusive space. It could’ve been resolved in an adult conversation. Instead, he stayed a month (+ a few days as a guest), lied to our faces, and rewrote the story afterwards.

I worked for two weeks until the owner, gave to me this kind of a contract that i should sign. After reading it there was some point that it wasn't clear for me so i told him that i didn't feel comfortable signing this. So this person started to behave like a child, not letting me talk, treating me like a fool for being the only one who has complained about this. And even when he should had gave this to me the first day he tried to make me feel like the guilty in he situation. So after all of this, he kicked me out, in the night. I don't recommend this place, it was very disrespectful.

Sorry we didn't give you the contract on the 1st day, but we’d like to clarify some facts. You didn’t work for 2 weeks, and it took you two days to review the contract. You refused to sign over a requirement to share details with the Ministry of Tourism and police, which is mandatory. 2 managers explained this and offered to adjust the wording, but you still declined. Since refusing legal registration is suspicious, we couldn’t keep you as a volunteer. This happened at 6PM, not at night.

The time I spent at the hostel was fun and welcoming. Thank you so much Dima for the delicious breakfasts, the events and for all the love you showed me during that time. I'll always remember the "Whaaaaaaaattt" 😅. The hostel is super comfortable, has a beautiful outdoor area and a sensational terrace. The staff were great too, they always kept me company and had a good laugh ❤️. Thank you for everything.
