Our experience at Chanthaburi the the shelter with Malee, Ken and the team was amazing! One we will never forget. Malee goes out of her way to make you feel at home from the get go, and all the food is delicious! The accommodation isnt a 5 star hotel as mentioned on their bio, but is very livable. The work isn't hard, but you will get very sweaty in the Thai heat! Daily routine of cleaning up your areas in the morning and then helping with the daily feed of all 270 or so dogs in the afternoon. The dogs are just amazing, with their own personalities and quirks... Very hard to say goodbye to!

The the shelter was such a great start to my trip. The dogs and cats are so nice to just hang out with, and you have plenty of free time to do so. The workload is not too much, it's just a little hot. One thing I will say is that Malee is an INCREDIBLE cook, you will fall in love with her food. I 100% recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to be in a remote space for a while and just connect with nature, animals, and locals.

I stayed at malees the shelter for 2 weeks with my partner and we had the most lovely time! The hours worked were minimal but enjoyable! The task included feeding the dogs, occasional grooming and lots of loving and playing with the dogs. Malee was a fab host and great cook. She was always happy to help you with anything! Our time there was great! If you're willing to throw yourself in, getting a bit dirty and sweaty, then this place is for you. (You'll get lots of attention and love from the dogs too, so made the whole experience very rewarding :))

I spent three weeks with Malee and can only heartily recommend going there. Malee is one of the most wonderful people I have met. She will always welcome you with open arms and answer all your questions. The work was exactly as agreed and I took so many dogs in my heart. The other volunteers were all nice too and you could spend your free time together. Malee also makes great food as everyone here already says ;) If you are willing to give up super luxury and can tolerate a little sweating in the sun then I can only highly recommend it☺️

I really loved the few weeks I spent at the the shelter. Malee is a wonderful host, she really cares for all the volunteers and cooks amazing Thai food! She really cares for all the dogs, knowing each one well. The dogs are really sweet and it's so nice to get to know them and spend time with them. The work tasks are not too difficult and are mainly around cleaning, feeding and loving the dogs! It was sad to leave the the shelter and I wish I could have stayed longer!

Malee is a wonderful host and amazing person. She makes sure all your needs are well cared for and that you feel comfortable and safe. Malee is also an amazing cook and the food is all delicious. The dogs are all quite friendly and if you love dogs the work is easy.

I visited to the the shelter again to observe surgical castration. Charity vets came and got total 28 dogs and cats fixed only in the morning ! It was an invaluable experience and I was able to see how people try to help animals in such a way. I totally love spending time dogs there. They are all lovely and enjoyed to see that they each have their own personality :)

I was with Malee for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The dogs were gorgeous and it was great to bond with them. The tasks like cleaning up the poop, feeding, washing the dogs etc. were easy to do once you understood them. All of the dogs were lookes after daily and they were well looked after even though there were 300 of them, which really impressed me. Malee not only took wonderful care of the dogs but also of us volunteers. She is one of the nicest persons i have met and she's an amazing cook. We also made a few trips together which was great. I would have loved to stay longer.

I've had an amazing time at the the shelter. Malee made sure that I would feel welcomed and always answered all my questions. The dogs were very cute and the tasks easy once you understand them. It's quite a lot of work but you also have time off during the day. The room was nice and Malee is an amazing cook so make sure to try all her recipes.
