La mia esperienza allo the hostel è stata la mia prima esperienza di volontariato in ostello e non poteva andare meglio! Il lavoro è davvero fattibile e tranquillo. Io ho scelto i turni notturni (23-7) e tecnicamente c'è veramente poco da fare: di rado un late check-in o un early check-out e una veloce pulizia dei tavoli e stoviglie della zona comune. C'è una piscina utilizzabile e l'ambiente è tranquillo e rilassato. Ciò che ha reso l'esperienza meravigliosa sono stati i volontari che hanno condiviso l'esperienza con me, condividendo le giornate al di fuori delle giornate lavorative :)

Great place away from all the party stays further down and along the waterfront. Really appreciated the vibe of the place and how quiet it can be except for that bit of noise from the main street. The biggest drawback for me is that they say on Hostelworld that smoking isn't allowed but then have ashtrays around and people freely smoking everywhere and all the time—I just can't stand that. On the other hand, they're really flexible and try to accommodate your plans to go on trips out of the hostel! Plus points also for that the night shifts aren't buzzy and I was able to do some remote work.

Mi experiencia en Xibalbá ha sido increíble, el ambiente entre voluntarios es genial, y te sientes como en casa. Esta fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un voluntariado, y después de ella se que no será la ultima. Se cumplen todas las condiciones, y cualquier duda te la resuelven. Me he sentido muy a gusto en este rincón de Bacalar, y animaría a quien tenga dudas a inscribirse, lo disfrutaran.

This was my first volunteer experience and I truly enjoyed it. The hostel had a really good vibe. It honestly felt like being with family, from the hosts to the volunteers to the guests; it was truly a lovely time. The only mentions I have is that the breakfast is extremely light; I wouldn't consider it a meal so definitely plan on budgeting more for food. They do offer tours but are not free; you get a 20% discount. Do bring hand soap or sanitizer as the dorm does not have soap and a blanket, it can get quite cold at night.

Una experiencia maravillosa!! En el hostel han cumplido con todo los acordado , los horarios y dias de trabajo se respetan perfectamente ! Silvana es una gran persona , dispuesta a ayudar y a guiarte tanto el trabajo como en las actividades del lugar. Si estás buscando un lugar tranquilo donde puedas conectar con la naturaleza y la tranquilidad , te recomiendo este voluntariado ✨.

Good: -We got acceptet very quickl spontaneously -nice hostel with cozy common area and great team atmosphere -lots of free time -close to Ado, food spots and supermarkets -bacalar is beautiful Not that good: -small team dorm, which was kind of wet because of the humidity -possible that you have to work at night -easier if you know a little spanish That was our first WP experience and we loved it, Silvana is friendly and very helpful. Work is easy. Would definetly recommend

Fue una buena experiencia para recomendar, las tareas son muy sencillas y se cumplió con todo lo acordado previamente. Le agradezco a Silvana por su predisposición y buena onda. Creo que lo único a mejorar es el mantenimiento de las instalaciones.
