My 20 days of stay flew by and still cannot assimilate my time spent at the school. while being there, i got to try lots of local dishes, i also visited many outstanding places and got to experience indonesian culture. nevertheless, when people ask me what my favourite thing was, i always tell them about the people i met. i'm so grateful for the way you treated me; the teachers, staff and students i met at the school were all endearing and made me feel extremely comfortable the entire time. terima kasih guys, i'm already missing you :,)

I absolutely LOVED my experience at the school! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming. My room was very clean and comfortable. My schedule was very organized and I loved all of the planned outings. I feel so lucky that I was able to volunteer here.

The experience was wonderful staying at the same place as some of the teachers. All the staff and students are so welcoming and helpful.. Everyone was welcoming and they did a good job coordinating when I had to be at different branches. Be prepared for spicy food, hot weather, riding on motobikes and Jakarta traffic. 😅 I had a wonderful experience and would do it again. I came during Ramadan so breaking the fast with the students was a real treat. You get to visit different classes and meet so many students. I learnt a lot about the culture through the staff. Staff took me on fun outings.

I had the BEST time at the school!! I learnt so much about Indonesian culture, and i tried so many different foods. Aiysha (both of them) and Nafi were amazing! I had lots of free time to explore, and they organised trips for me in the mornings and afternoons. I had so much fun in lessons and all of the teachers are such nice people. I would really recommend this experience to everyone, and i would love to go back.

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was amazing. The teachers, the girls I was staying with, were so sweet. Everybody really has a good team spirit when it comes to teaching and taking care of the volunteers aswell. The people will provide a schedule of classes, these classes are called ' class visits'. I made two presentations, one for children and one for adults in which you need to try and ask about things that really speak to them, like the Indonesian culture (food etc.). You don't have classes everyday, there are rest days scheduled and also very fun activities :)

I cannot praise the experience and team enough. They went above and beyond to take care of me. Don't be shy - speak to the team regularly as schedule can change. Tips-water (bottled only for drinking/brushing teeth and careful with ice) check if rainy/dry season so your prepared, bring modest clothing, toilet/shower is typical for asia - if in doubt just ask. If in kalimalang you are 5min walk to pharmacy, store, atm. Try all the food - team are great at picking good things to eat! Students were delightful. Made some great friends here - I really hope to visit again in the future! Ma Kasih X

Such a wonderful place! The people are so so kind and will take such good care of you. They provide so many opportunities to explore all Jakarta has to say offer in the mornings and do classes in the afternoons/ evenings.

Makasi GE, I would rate my stay 10/5 if possible. Everyone is very kind and they're always willing to help. They told me a lot about the city itself and the local culture. I stayed for two weeks. I loved to try all the different Indonesian food and I loved the teaching as well. I've met so many other students during the classes. I taught them more about Holland, and they were keen on showing me more about Indonesia. I would absolutely and without a doubt recommend this experience to everyone.

Enjoyable experience! The staff is welcoming, friendly, and respectful. Volunteers should know that the bedroom has a fan, but does not have air conditioning. The bed is comfortable. Regarding the teaching itself, we met so many great students from young children to adults older than us (we're 28). We're so happy that we could help these students learn English and we taught them more about America, too. Our faces hurt from smiling so much! We loved trying Indonesian food and learning more about the culture. We had many fun conversations with students and staff. We enjoyed seeing local sites!
