I really enjoyed my volunteering at the lodge's guesthouse. I felt very welcomed, the place is beautiful, lost in the mountains with few villages and some shops around. The job is not too hard and simple, 3-4h in the morning then its free all the afternoon and you can go explore the nature, rice fields, jungle, villages or just relax at the farm. My 2 weeks there passed very quickly, I recommend !

I had lovely experience at Taos Farm. The locals and the other volunteers made it a very special experience for me! The work was fair. Mikele, the lodge + plus Family were really kind. Mikele is fluent in English, the lodge speeks just a little but for the basic needs it's fine. Our tasks were watering the plants, build a new field for planting seeds, shoveling the cow poop, carry for the fresh straw, ... I loved being in touch with nature, so it was very peaceful there. I had the best time at the lodge's Farm! The tasks we were working on in the morning were variable and interesting. In the afternoon we had free time and explored the beautiful surroundings. We visited the waterfall, went tubing, went for walks.. I really felt welcomed by the lodge and her family and got to know Laos culture better. Would definitely recommend volunteering on the lodge's Farm!

It was my first time volunteering on a farm and i loved it !!! Every day we did something different: watering the crops, picking fruits and coffee beans, cutting wood and cleaning the garden, picking up cow shit, preparing the soil for planting… 3-4 hours in the morning and then free. the lodge and Mikele are very kind. Dina is such a cute and funny girl. There are lots of baby animals at the moment and they are so cute 😍 Mikele spend most of his time at the guesthouse and we work with the lodge, i wish she could speak more english so that we could learn more about Laos and their culture

It was an incredible experience! i enjoyed learning about the local culture, and gardening. I also loved being surrounded by mountains, and swimming in the river. can't wait to go back!

We had a such a great week at the lodge's farm. We walked away feeling like we had a real authentic experience of Laos. the lodge, Michele and all the people we met during our stay were welcoming and kind to us. It is the highlight of our trip around SE Asia so far!

Great experience !! Michele and the lodge are very nice, they take time to answer any questions. The landscape is wonderful and the task at the farm are various. The dormitory is simple but you have mosquitoes nets around it so that's cool.

I had a wonderful time on Taos farm. Mikele was very welcoming when I arrived and was passionate when showing me the farm and the guest house. He is fluent in English which was very helpful for me. I had a really nice time hanging out with Mikele and other travellers. the lodge was also very welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed having a laugh with her and eating her delicious food! The work was as described and very fair. Great place to enjoy nature, be involved in local life and meet lovely people. Can't wait to come back!

My experience at the lodge was truly amazing. Michele and the lodge were really nice hosts and it was fun working on different tasks, which made me learn a lot about farming, the highlight was planting rice under rain. The meals and accommodation were pretty great too, the food was organic and there were plenty of fruit always available. Although there weren't many activities I could enjoy at the time because of rain, I spent free time chilling and enjoying the views and quietness. If you're looking for a nature getaway and an opportunity to learn about sustainable life highly recommend it!
