Volunteering with Lost Souls was such an amazing experience. There is a strong sense of community, thanks to the positive attitude and energy from the coordinating staff and other volunteers. With 2 days off/week, there's still time to explore the Bavarian region and opportunities to go to Oktoberfest throughout. It was a life changing experience and I highly recommend to anyone that likes to camp and have a good time 🍻 Prost!

I had hoped for a pleasant and meaningful experience, but the agreement was never properly respected. I tried to remain flexible with schedules and expectations, yet it led nowhere. The only positive moments I had were outside the camp setting. One of the managers, often intoxicated, showed constant hostility despite my efforts to stay respectful, try to be flexible and helpful, turning what should have been a meaningful experience into a rather disappointing one, I wished to end things on good terms, but I wasn't even given the chance to say a proper goodbye.

Hi Sam, we apologise that it didn’t work out. Obviously we need people to turn up to their shifts on time, you were late multiple times and one time you didn’t even turn up. We have never let anybody go early before but it costs us to have volunteers and we need people to help us in return. I think in the future you need to realise that volunteering isn’t just a free ride and that you do need to work in return for your stay. Mark

I absolutely loved this volunteer experience! It's a great way to explore Munich and go to Oktoberfest on a budget. Staying at the camping is so much fun, there's a lot of things to do and the atmosphere is always light and fun. Mark and Ian are really kind people and were always making sure we were happy and confortable there. Plus the team of volunteers was incredible and it felt like a family. Camping for that long can be a bit challenging specially when it rains, but the tents are big and comfortable. Overall it's a really great experience and I would 100% recommend it!

My experience here was amazing! Mark and Ian are really cool and welcoming bosses and the crew and the group of volunteers are awesome. We had lots of fun and everyone was really really nice. Regarding the work, it was mainly helping out with setting up the camping, cleaning tents and giving a hand in reception. They gave us the 3 meals (fulfilling and tasty) and the accommodation was good, pretty comfy for a tent. Also, Oktoberfest is unbelievable! If u want to come here while budgeting this is your place :)

My experience with the camping and Lost Souls was absolutely amazing, I wouldn't trade it for anything. The bosses and other volunteers are all wonderful people and we had so much fun every day. Half of the work is cleaning tents once guests have left and the other half is working at reception checking guests in and taking them to their tents. But it never really feels like work because everyone is drinking and socializing. There is plenty of time to go to the festival and explore Munich on your time off. Thank you so much, Lost Souls, I can't wait to come back!

It was my first volunteer experience, and I couldn't have chosen better. Mark and Ian were so welcoming and fun that my month there passed by so quickly. We had our designated tasks everyday and they respected our time offs as well. The atmosphere on the camping was everything I was looking for, with something different happening every day. I got to know a lot of amazing people that will be forever in my memory. Our time inside the festival was an experience by itself and made my first time experiencing it incredible. Thank you for everything team, looking forward to seeing you all again!

My time here in Munich was unforgettable, Mark and the rest of the crew welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like family right away. They have created an awesome atmosphere to meet other volunteers from around the world, as well as all of the campers staying with us. If you have the chance to volunteer with the camping make sure you do so!! Thank you to the whole crew of volunteers and staff that make this experience so special!

If you like drinking and meeting new people this will be great for you. Maybe the whole time is a bit too long, but half of it would be great. Loved all the other volunteers :)
