Great location near the beach with some lovely people. Outside of the summer there is not very much to do and not so many people to socialise with. There are few events that are usually at least 40 mins walk away. The nearest supermarket is also 40 mins away so can be difficult to get groceries. I came for the surf and was told there would be surf boards for the volunteers. These were never provided so we had to buy our own. Initially we were housed in a garage. It was full of insects and smelt bad so not the best but after two weeks we were moved to a better room inside the hostel.

It felt like a big family and it was really nice to work with all the staff there. Few things I do have to mention - breakfast was not provided as discussed - the surfboard was broken so we had to rent/buy our own - it's in the middle of nowhere, so if you like having a little break from life and calm down it's the perfect place! If you like going out to bars and parties it may feel a little isolating. Best to rent a car before coming here so that you can move around independently. Overall it was a super nice experience and I've made great friends :)
