I had a wonderful time here. Living with a female monk is a very rare experience and I loved it. I learnt so much about Thai culture and the life of a monk. Pim is doing such great work in her local community and it was an honour to help. The children are so sweet and eager to learn. Visiting temple is much better when you have a monk that can explain everything. Pim had a beautiful community that she will share with you, especially her parents who are so warm and welcoming ! Pim was really helpful, I would definitely recommend stopping off here !

I really enjoyed this experience. I recommend it to people who would like to learn about Buddhism and enjoy spending time with children. I thought the program with children would be more often, but this project is in the beginning so I understand it and I see the potential. 🙏😊 I recommend getting up earlier (6.30) at least once, so you could help Pim and see a life of a monk in the morning. 👌 You can spend some days with her parents, who are very nice and willing to show you interesting sights, market, etc. If you want to get along, be polite, clean after yourself and show interest. 🙂

My first Worldpackers experience and it was life-changing! To know that you're creating an impact by helping the local children learn new skills that can benefit their future is truly touching. The children were so welcoming, well-mannered, and sweet! Besides teaching, working alongside Pim restored my faith in humanity; the preserved tradition of Dāna is a breath of fresh air in comparison to the modern “self-centered” world. Thank you so much Pim & family for your hospitality! And thank you for the wonderful opportunity. I highly recommend!

If you want to make a real inpact on the children by teaching english to them, this might not be the most effective place for that because you will only have 1 lesson a week. If you want to have a lot of free time, this is the best place, you will have one lesson a week and you can join Pim with the morning walk, other than that you can't really help out. Pim's parents are extremly kind and welcoming, and they are the only reason why I can say that my stay was good there. You can learn from them a lot and they are happy to show you around!

The host's parents are two wonderful people. They took me on trips and were the best guides. They made my time very pleasant. I will never forget them! Now it comes to the volunteer work. The host indicated that I would work several days, but there was only for 1,5 hour a week an English class. All other days I was free and could do whatever I wanted. I came to teach the kids, so this was a big disappointment for me. There is not much to do in the area, so the afternoons can be long. You do get the opportunity to walk with the host in the morning, that's a nice experience.
