I would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff and the hostel organization for the opportunity given. The work in the kitchen and as a housekeeper is not easy; it can be somewhat exhausting. In my experience, I had to change rooms three times in less than 15 days due to the lack of fixed rooms for volunteers. Nevertheless, I cannot overlook the fact that in some weeks, it is possible to have 3-4 days off to enjoy. I would like to recommend providing a private space for volunteers to store their food, as sharing the same area with guests can lead to confusion.

The best thing about volunteering at the hostel is the PEOPLE & TEAM. The team is authentic, and helpful to all volunteers and staffs. From interviewing for match, coordinating for arrival and departure to getting out duties firmed up and clocked, I met nothing but fair treatment. Safety: 5/5 for safety at work & location Culture: 5/5. People the essence at the hostel Work: 4/5 for varieties of works but housekeeping more strenuous for me, but train my back muscles! On balance, potential volunteers enjoy 3D off weekly.

The hostel is the BEST! The staff here are the kindest people and make sure the volunteers are always happy. Mariana was very helpful with her communication prior to my arrival. You are provided with a comfortable room shared with the other volunteers. Cal is an incredible manager who has created a great work environment and that shows through how happy the staff is here! Thank you to our chefs JC, Amanda, and Johnathan. Time flew having fun in the kitchen! Big thank you to Cal, Mariana, Silviu, James, Lydia, Milly, Patrycja, Jin, & Kelson for making this such a special experience!! <3
