I can only describe my stay at the guest house as wonderful. Isabella was very attentive to details, explaining everything about the house to ensure I felt as comfortable as possible. She clearly outlined the projects and goals we would work on, always giving us the freedom to choose our own working hours. Additionally, Isabella provided us with many lessons on health and yoga. I leave the house with a healthier diet and body, happy to have carried out my work in such a pleasant way.

This was such an amazing first Worldpackers experience for me. Isabella was so wonderful to work with. The town of altafulla was so beautiful and peaceful. I really enjoyed our dinners together with all the volunteers and all the social events I participated in the expats group, which Isabella gave me a link to. I love doing all the 'meditative' tasks in which I had a lot of time to reflect. I think overall I learnt to be more present in the moment and to enjoy simple things. Thank you for having me Isabella 💓.

Isabella lives in this beautiful house very closed to the beach. It is a very relaxing and wonderful experience if you want to stay outside the crowded city and enjoy calm and nature. I went there to create a new website for Athayoga courses and I was able to organise my own time. Maybe come in winter means that everything close early, so sometimes you need to fin a way to spend your time, but for the rest, I stayed with other 2 girls and everything was great. I will come back! :)

The location is peaceful and safe, and I enjoyed learning about the science behind yoga. the guest house is friendly and dedicated to her work. However, on the last day, tasks outside the agreed social media role were added, which felt inconsiderate as we were packing to travel. I recommend clearer communication and reciprocation when asking for last-minute help, such as offering a ride to the station. Overall, it was a calm and meaningful stay for someone flexible and independent, looking for quiet and reflection.

Mi experiencia en la casa no fue del todo buena. La casa es linda, amplia, tiene pileta, cocina, mucho verde. Se duerme en el salón de yoga, un colchón para cada uno. Lo primero que no me agradó es que al llegar se mostró descontenta con que yo hiciera uso de mis días libres cuando yo quisiera. Mucha rigidez. Si quedaba unas migas o cualquier detalle mínimo, venía a retarte como si fuera una madre. El tiempo de trabajo se respeta pero es muy estricta. Quizás hiciste el 95% bien y en vez de mencionar eso, te reta por el 5% que no le.gustó. No es un ambiente divertido, ella es muy rígida.

Con ciertas tareas necesitamos colaborar, y no es posible que cada uno elija sus días libres de forma individual. Algunas tareas también requieren mucha atención al detalle, ya que los huéspedes se quejan fácilmente cuando las cosas no están a su nivel, algo que ocurrió justo después de tu partida. Cuando las tareas quedan a medias, también es más difícil sentir una verdadera apreciación.

Mi experiencia no fue la esperada :( Las tareas no coincidían con lo publicado y, durante mi estadía, no me sentí tratada como voluntaria, sino más bien como personal de servicio, sin un intercambio colaborativo. La convivencia se volvió difícil por una serie de normas domésticas que no habían sido mencionadas antes y que afectaban la libertad y comodidad en el espacio. Agradezco mucho al equipo de Worldpackers, que me acompañó en todo momento y me ayudó a finalizar el voluntariado antes de lo previsto.

Es cierto que a veces las tareas pueden variar un poco. Por eso siempre pregunto si está bien — como cuando te pedí pintar en vez de limpiar, y dijiste: “Lo que necesites.”

También dijiste varias veces que todo estaba bien, aunque claramente no lo sentías así. Me cuesta trabajar con personas que no expresan lo que realmente piensan. Una conversación honesta puede cambiarlo todo.

I can't be grateful enough for this experience. I had an amazing stay with Isabella at her beautiful villa in the tranquil town, Altafulla. I filmed and edited short yoga classes (9-12 minutes per video). Isabella organizes things very well and communicates efficiently. My work hours are mostly flexible so I got to spend a long weekend in Barcelona and also visited Tarragona. I learned so much from Isabella and felt very inspired by her stories, yoga philosophy, positive energy and entrepreneurial spirits! The living condition is incredible. And I was very happy to know the other volunteer.

Isabella is the most adorable host! From the first moment, she was kind, always smiling, very patient, and respectful. She's truly an admirable and entrepreneurial woman, full of ideas and energy at all times! The place is beyond words—much better than I imagined. It's spacious, surrounded by nature, quiet, and perfect for disconnecting. During my stay, I helped Isabella with the design of her workbooks, videos, and some graphic designs, while also learning about yoga—absolutely the best! The schedule was very reasonable and flexible. I LOVE MY STAY! ✨🫶🏽 Btw, Altafulla is beautiful!
