The hours were respected, the living space was comfortable and if we needed anything we always got help. Volunteering at the hostel was more than an incredible experience! Amelia, the owner, is the best person on this world. I'm grateful for everything she's done. The staff's support makes us feel at home. The place is beautiful, cozy, and well-organized. Working hours are respected, tasks are easy, and enjoyable. I learned about Neapolitan culture, Italian language, and lived like a local. The hostel's location is convenient for exploring the city. It's more than volunteering; I gained an Italian family. Pasé un mes increíble en el hostel, es uno de los hostels más lindos que conocí y el staff es de lo mejor también, me llevo grandes recuerdos y nuevos amigos. Estuve en el night shift y las tareas no son difíciles para nada, hay tiempo suficiente para hacer todo, y vas a estar siempre acompañado del gran Ciccio (el gato más lindo del mundo) Espero poder volver pronto, siento que un mes no fue suficiente, gracias por todo! :)

Me encantó ser voluntaria en el hostel y lo recomiendo totalmente. El lugar es increíble, un jardín secreto en el medio de la agitada Nápoles. Las chicas del staff y Amelia son todas amores de personas, siempre sonrientes, amables y dispuestas a ayudar. Las horas se respetan y las tareas son simples. Me encantó el hostel y también la ciudad, fue una gran combinación. Me llevo una gran experiencia y muy lindas personas, espero poder volver!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel, the hostel was beautiful and the hostel is very well located! Amelia and the other staff members were really nice and easy to talk to, we talked about a lot of things from travelling to gossip to Neapolitan culture! :) The work was easy and I learned a thing or two about standing behind a bar and making cocktails and coffee! I had a great time with the other volunteers and guests as well! All in all, I had a great time, thank you!! <3

Amelia is an incredibly fun, supportive and kind host, everyone makes you feel welcome right away, the hostel is incredibly beautiful, the hostel is amazing and the place is very well located!! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to get to know Naples and also make friends!! :))

My stay at the hostel were great! When I arrived there was already a group of volunteers who had been there for a couple weeks, but from the first night they made me feel part of the group. Amelia and everybody working there were very welcoming, and the hostel was so nice, I felt at home straight away. The work at the bar was easygoing most of the time, but there were often events in the weekends and things got pretty busy. The shifts were either in the morning or evening, so I had a lot of free time to explore the city. Naples was truly amazing, I loved it !

Working with and for Amelia, the owner of this amazing hostel in Napels, was truly amazing! Together with the team I worked with, we went for little trips with Amelia and her husband! They showed us spots where we wouldn't be going if they didn't invite us. The hours are very respected and you can always ask for a change in the timetable. The hours were very flexible! Beside the owner Amelia, there working two girls who became my friends and I really enjoyed spending time with them! So overall; it was an amazing experience and the location: perfect!!

I applied to work at the bar but Amelia gave me the AMAZING opportunity to do my art to decorate the walls of the hostel and I'm forever grateful for this. The hostel is great, the staff is so kind and the tasks are very simple, so sometimes they have to make an effort to keep us busy for 8h. The small problems that occur have simple solutions like having a staff's dorm, a door on the bathroom (it gets so cold and we don't have privacy) and allowing laundry once a week would be great. It was an amazing experience, I made friends for life and lived the beautiful Naples like a local. Thank you!

The place is so beautiful… However, if you want an intimate yogi environment then this place is a no. They made me work for a big party event without sitting 8 hours from the first day i got there even though i told them i was not able to sleep due to my transfer flights. Middle of my stay i got really sick that made me puke and faint. They first asked about “if i was able to work for today or not”. Due to my hernia operation i was unable to carry trashes out, one full timer said she doesn't care about my illness since it's work, that hurt… tent gets wet from bottom if it rains too much, too.

Dear Oyku, we are sorry that your experience here at Hopestel was so negative.
Probably, applying for a long-time- standing position such as bartending was not ideal considering your hernia.
Although your requests and complaints were always accommodated and when you were sick we all worried and offered to help.
Your work days/hours were far less than they should have been also considering that you stayed only 2 weeks, which is also why you were always assigned very simple tasks, including throwing out the trash (light trash consisting of paper and cardboard) but even for that you made excuses, despite the fact that the bags were modulated according to your hernia.

Regarding the environment delusion you mentioned, we host yoga classes and workshops everyday but we're not a yoga retreat center and that's not our only focus. We are proud of the spiritualilty of our space but also organize other activities and occasional events that finish by at last midnight (so we're definitely not a party hostel).

Despite an objective operational incompatibility, you are a lovely girl and we all enjoyed your company.
