Faraj and their team offer an excellent opportunity to be immersed in the culture of the place. You will be respected and supported while completing your tasks, and also you will receive all the help you need if you want to go on tours and get to know the place better. I would completely recommend this volunteering to experience the real Egypt.

Faraj is an excellent person, he has a very warm energy and you feel you can count on his support at all times. I also spent most of the time with Abdala (the hostel manager), who is a great human being, he is fun and always makes you feel at home. The tasks at the hostel are easy to do and you really have time to make new friends and get to know part of their culture.

Faraj was a great host. He was very attentive to my needs and made sure I was comfortable. He is very friendly and generous with his time, money, stories, and shares his friends and family as opportunities arise. He made sure I had everything I needed to do the job (swim teaching and making art for his office spaces). He also made sure I wasn't working too hard and took me to some spots around the city, the nice beaches, did some activities also. We did a swimming lesson for about 1 hour each day at various beaches. He is a good student and made great progress:)

My experience with Faraj was absolutely wonderful! From the first day I felt so welcomed and at home. Faraj made such an effort to teach me about Bedouin culture and show me all around Marsa Matrouh. This was definitely the most culturally immersive Worldpackers experience that I've had yet! The accommodation is very nice, you get a full-size bed on the top floor of the building, so you also have excellent views of the sea and the surrounding city from the balcony. I highly recommend this experience if you want to visit Egypt and I definitely hope to return someday!

My experience at the hostel was excellent. Faraj is a very attentive and pleasant host, willing to learn, share experiences and make you feel at home. My days as a volunteer were enriching. I was able to help Faraj with his Spanish learning and improve my English communication skills. I was able to immerse myself in Egyptian culture, Bedouin culture and see different parts of Marsa Matruh. The place offered by the host is very comfortable and clean, close to the beach and within reach of everything. I definitely recommend it! I will return with more time :)
