¡Durante mi estancia este lugar fue increíble! El equipo era increíble, el trabajo era fácil y aprendible, el horario era siempre como yo pedía los días libres. El lugar es como estar en casa, el centro está super cerca. Este lugar es perfecto si quieres pasar tiempo con la gente y hacer interacciones sociales. Me encantó mucho!

Tecuchi was the first hostel I've ever volunteered at and it was an incredible start to the future of my volunteering. Aside from a pathetic encounter with one of the long term staff, every day was another incredible day in Oaxaca. I absolutely plan on returning some day down the road.

The staff at the hostel is simply great. Everybody is incredibly nice and the volunteers have a pretty good amount of independence in their work experience. The bar is pretty simple, however, Bruce offers volunteers a good amount of control over the menu. For instance, I had full support for wanting to try to sell a new cocktail idea that I had. Or anytime I had an idea for an activity or what not it was listened to and usually supported. the hostel is a top tier hostel, the sense of community amongst volunteers, staff, and guests is unbelievable. Just bring earplugs if you sleep early.

Hands down the best volunteering I've been so far! It is chill and nice to work both reception and bar. I made good friends we were always helping each other making company. I styed a couple of weeks but wish I could have stayed more.

The volunteer experience was truly amazing. The staff, guests, and overall environment make this place a true gem. The managers of the place Bruce, and the amazing Jessica made things run smoothly and listened to any concerns or change of scheduling with flexibility/respect. The people I've been here have been life changing. I highly recommend this place to anyone with experience or no experience.

My first time volunteering could not have been a more awesome experience! The Hostal was amazing and fun, as well as inclusive and relaxing. I learned so much during my time there and improved my life in many ways. Ive been home for a couple of days and I already miss it! Yessica and Bruce were exceptional managers as well as friends to me during my stay. I would 100% recommend any volunteer to experience the hostel for yourself...

I had a wonderful time at the hostel. It's a great place to take some time and get to know oaxaca. Jess has taken all wishes for the rota into consideration to make everyone can have the best experience. I met so many lovely people there and really enjoyed every day. I would love to come back one day!

Overall, my experience in Oaxaca was positive, largely due to the supportive staff, including volunteer manager Yessica and the cleaning team. However, I faced challenges while working with the bar manager, Bruce. His communication skills left much to be desired, and he often struggled to take accountability for his actions. This created an uncomfortable working environment, as his demeanor could shift dramatically, leading to unpredictable interactions. While I appreciate the beauty of the city and the efforts of the other staff, I can't recommend the experience as long as Bruce is there.
